[The stone hitting the creature's head manages to distract it long enough for Ronan to get out of range of its tentacles, which is probably the most important thing. Everything is too-bright for a moment, parts of his body tingling like his limbs have fallen asleep, and Ronan distantly connects the odd sensation with the fact that sparks were just flying all around him a few moments ago.
But Gansey is alright. That's the most important thing here- Ronan tracks the other boy's movements, still in vague disbelief that this is him, that he's here again.
Still, the cat is staggering and disoriented from the multiple blows, but it hasn't entirely forgotten about them. Ronan nods numbly at Gansey's command, following him back up to the building with a slight limp. The monster behind them gives a dazed sort of chase, and Ronan glances over his shoulder at it before moving on, picking up the pace a little and urging Gansey forward.]
