This is different from his flashes to the Upside Down though. It's not as cold. The fear is stiffening, but not all consuming, not freezing. That- That feeling... that overpowering, dark evil that stared him down, it isn't here. He hasn't been here before.
But this isn't home either, isn't Hawkins at all. Is he just dreaming? Is this real? The skeleton comes toward him, and Will remembers the advice from someone else who had bad dreams like this. He takes a breath. ] Stop. Go away... Go away, [ Will says firmly, but nothing happens except the skeleton comes closer, and swings it's long sword at him. Will jumps back, but not before the tip of the blade can slice through his sleeve, leaving behind a tear, a small thin cut on his arm, and a sharp stinging pain. That definitely felt real. That was real.
Will runs. He turns and sprints, not sure how far the creature is behind him, but not stopping until he sees a small hiding space under some of the Colosseum's steps. Think, Will, think. If this were a D&D game... Cast Turn Undead... destroy them. This isn't a D&D game though.
Before he can think much to do anything though, he spots somebody else in the skeleton's path. Maybe they know of the skeleton's presence, maybe they don't. Either way, Will is coming from behind his hiding place and throwing a heavy rock at the skeleton, drawing its attention away. ]
Hey! HEY! [ For a pretty shy and quiet kid most of the time, he can yell when he wants to. ] I'm - I'm here! Don't you want to finish what you started?
