The very least Swift could do was accept the cracker Seel was offering. It wasn't an apology, but it was probably the closest he was going to get and he'd learned to live with that. Better than nothing. He took a tentative bite to buy himself some time to think of anything else to say that wouldn't set Seel off again. That was far more challenging than it should have been. Granted, both of the were in a bad mood now, but still, it shouldn't have been so difficult.
