Seel nodded and left the room, hoping Swift would drift off to sleep. He set water to boil and rummaged through the cabinets to find some tea, setting it aside in a mug. He almost wished he had a bottle of liquor he could take a sip from. Or pour some in Swift's mug, but he doubted that would help. He honestly couldn't remember if that particular trick had ever helped him or not. Thankfully, he didn't have any alcohol, just a dwindling pack of cigarettes and he knew how Swift felt about those. As much as he wanted one, he knew that would probably set off the fight they were putting off, if he went in the room with Swift's tea smelling like smoke. At the very least they'd be talking about it later.
So, he steeped the tea, playing with the teabag and finally throwing it out and quietly going back into the room.
