Lucretia | The Adventure Zone

ONE

[Ok. She's fairly certain there are not, and never have been, crocodiles on the moon. Her moon, her rules, after all, and while she is currently employing some people who are more than capable of bringing something like this about, she is fairly certain it's not really anyone's style.

She's having a hard time thinking through what should be done here. In the short moments in which she's allowed herself to look away from the hulking creature as it roams slowly from left to right and back again, she's started to gather that this...may not be the Bureau base. This may not be anywhere she's every been before, which is really, really saying something.

It would probably behoove her to think of some course of action here. Right. She has magic--she does have magic, right? This isn't a separate plane where that kind of thing doesn't work, is it?--She hasn't tried anything yet, but it's...it's just...it's right there. It's right damn there. And it is so, so big.

No. No, that's enough of that, she's well aware of what she's facing, she just needs to think her way out of this, like she always does, like she has a hundred times before. She can do this--she starts mentally going through the list of spells she knows for anything that could be helpful in keeping this thing away from her, getting her out of here, something...

She doesn't get very far, however, before the sounds of someone coming up behind her are a distraction, and a relief, enough that she has to turn around.]

Who's there?

WILDCARD; thought she'd found a Library there for a second...

Ah.

[She'd gone in search of information, as well as some where in this strange place that wouldn't feel completely foreign to her. A library ticks every box. A library would have been perfect, maybe even comforting. Books, and silence. Just for a while, to help her get her bearings.

But it's gone. Completely destroyed, just the rubble of a building spread out in front of her. Worse, she hasn't been here long at all and she has no idea what would have done this.]

Sure. No, of course. Why wouldn't this be the way things are? Just...yep.
