I'm canonblind to Ignis, but from what you've listed here: Oscar is also a practical, intelligent type with a dry sense of humor (which he doesn't tend to show off too much) who throws himself into his work and is a huge nerd, so maybe, just maybe, they'd get along? (???) I don't know how people from Ignis's world treat the subject of automatons, though.

Wwwwwwell there's always the magitek infantry issue, but Ignis knows that none of the machines/androids/etc here are one of those. He likes Nick Valentine well enough, so I don't think he'd have a problem with Oscar!
