Welcome to Hadriel's test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open August 25th, and apps are open September 1st. Please remember that there is an app cap of 20 apps.

Two quick points here as well:

1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: GET YOUR RED CAPE READY
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

And they sure are big boys. Big and easily angered and ready to run right over you. This time, the Door has brought in Brontos, from the video game Dragon Age.

Brontos are large oxen-like beasts, though more sure-footed due to spending all their time in caves underground. There are domesticated brontos, bred to haul and be ridden and eaten... but these aren't those. These brontos are wild, one and all, and they are skittish and large and perfectly capable of running you over. Maybe just keep your distance.]

SCENARIO TWO: DESERTED
[You're alone. Completely alone, as far as you can tell. Nothing here works - oh, there's food in the stores, sure, but the water's not running, the electricity isn't working. There's not a soul on the streets, where you would normally expect to see at least a few people here and there.

So what will you do? Smash windows and grab food from the stores? (Well, the doors are all unlocked, but hey, who doesn't love smashing windows.) Shout in the streets in hopes someone will hear? Curl into a ball and cry? All valid choices. But then, what will you do when you do find someone, after thinking you were all alone? Someone you like, someone you hate, a complete stranger?

This is a mini version of our Deserted event this month.]

SCENARIO THREE: ONE MORE CHANCE
[You can't stop thinking about the one who got away. They've been on your mind - well, it feels like forever, but maybe it's only been a few days. A few hours. But you can't stop thinking about them and regretting what could have been.

Maybe it's a failed romance. Maybe a broken friendship. Maybe a family member who walked away - or who you walked away from. Even a business partner who things ended poorly with. Whatever it was, you regret how things went down. If only you had another chance, a chance to fix things!

And then, there they are. The person you've been thinking of. What will you do? Beg forgiveness? Make amends? Run away? Make your decision and take action, because as soon as you do it you might realize it was never that person at all. You might have just poured out your heart and begged forgiveness from a complete stranger.]

[ He was about ready to jet off and just ditch Leo, but he seems to be useful so he'll actually stick around just to see what information he can get from him. He knows not to trust humans, not after Silas, but he's in a bind and wants information. He'll speed ahead a little only to fly up into the air and transform mid fall, landing with a loud 'thud' as he straightens, once they're far enough away. ]

I did not need your help. I was simply taken...aback by the suddenness of it all. [ He hates owing favors, ugh. Not that he's likely to repay it unless he finds some use of Leon. ] I am a Decepticon. Lord Starscream, leader of the Decepticons.

[ Though he'll look at himself making sure all his parts are there. His wings will flap a little behind his back as he lets out an angry growl. ] Why am I so small. I am not even half my size. Ugh, whoever did this will feel my wrath!

[ He's so annoyed by the fact that he's almost human sized. This is clearly unacceptable. He'll look back towards Leo with a glare as he crosses his arms over his chest plate. ]

Tell, human, where exactly is this and why have I been brought here?

[Leo can't really use sarcasm since it ranges too close to a direct lie most of the time, so all he says in response to Starscream's blowhard attitude is:] Uh-huh. [Fine, next time he'll let the monsters squish you down into the size a toy jet. This is what he gets for trying to be nice. Although one thing he will admit is that Starscream is actually a really cool name for a robot. He wants one like that.]

This is small for you? [How big do these robots get?]

One, I'm not a human. [He just looks like it from the outside. Maybe if Starscream tries to squish him he'll then find out how indestructible Sunai monsters are.] Two, this is Hadriel. It's run by gods that need to survive off of people's emotions. That's why you were brought here.

If I was my true size that beast would have run off. [ He'll mutter as he flexes his claws. Compared to his 25 foot tall self this size was...punitive and underwhelming. Though he'll look at Leo with a tilt of his head. ]

I know what a human looks like, and you certainly have the same appearance as those...organics. But your strength does not match to the puny ones I dealt with before.

[ He supposed it makes sense as he reasons it out. Though he sounds skeptical at best. He knows how tricky you humans are. ]

Hadriel...never heard of it. [ He'll say as he looks around eyes narrowing as he turns to look back down at Leo. ]

They cannot be that strong of gods if they need the help of others to survive.

Cheer up. You're still bigger than just about anyone else here

[Thirteen feet is not tiny, quit complaining, you whiner.]

It's easier for monsters like me to hunt humans if we look like them.

[No one ever suspects a thing until it's too late.]

But I'm much stronger and close to indestructible compared to them.

[Don't try to squish him, Starscream. All that will do is make him mad.]

Everyone requires something to survive. These gods require emotions to stay strong.

Not big enough. [ He just lets out an annoyed growl. There was no point in bemoaning the fact, but Starscream is a whiner so of course he's going to do that. ] To almost be on the same level as organics...it's an insult!

[ Ah. He said that out loud didn't he? ]

Ah, but, aside from yourself of course. You are quite different, especially if you hunt them. [ Which seems to please Starscream, he has no objections towards someone like that. That aside Leo seems strong enough to be a threat, minor or otherwise, so he won't try to get on his bad side, for now. ]

The gods I know did not require much. But I suppose not everyone can be...perfect.

[Leo is amused by the verbal backpedaling Starscream goes through. Looks like he's not the only one who has trouble playing nice with others.]

My name is Leo Flynn. [Which isn't nearly as cool a name as the Decepticon has.] I'm a Sunai monster.

[He wonders if Starscream has a soul like some of the other robots here do. He looks at his shadow to see if he's committed any sins he can't come back from like murder or torture.]
