scenario two

[while this exact scenario isn't one that lloyd can say he's found himself in before, it's similar enough to others that he really only bothers to give the locked door a single, cursory shove before deeming it truly stuck and turning to consider the room's arrangement.

there's a way out for sure, he just has to figure it out.

thankfully, this room doesn't exactly seem all that eager to test his intellect, because the instructions for how to get out are pinned directly to the dead body. lloyd wrinkles his nose as he approaches the corpse, but it doesn't really smell yet, which must mean it's pretty fresh. in fact... lloyd removes one glove and holds his hand just below the body's nose to test for breath, then presses two fingers down against its neck to check for a pulse, just to be certain.

nothing.

he reaches into the corpse's pocket for the letter opener, turning it over in his hands with a considering frown before finally looking up at his companion with a sort of weary sigh.
] This would be a lot easier with my swords, you know. Or even a knife, are you sure you don't have a knife?

scenario three

[everything in this city seems to be locked lately, and this door, unfortunately, doesn't appear to be offering any sort of puzzle or riddle to solve in order to open it like the last on. and lloyd is hungry, okay, he's not sure he can ever remember feeling this hungry, and things weren't exactly plentiful in sylverant while he was growing up either.

he presses his face up against the glass to stare longingly at the display of food just beyond, breath fogging it up with each exhale. he wants it, it looks so good, like something genis made, though at this point he'd probably even take the professor's cooking.

it's a lot of glass. more than lloyd is honestly used to seeing in one place, and he sort of guiltily tries to rub out the condensation from his breathing because it's pretty and he's sure someone worked hard on making it look that way. kind of like the food, if he's honest, which is probably why it's locked away like this and he really should just leave it alone and keep looking but.

lloyd's eyes slide back to the door and down to the fairly simple looking lock on it, and he considers. if he left a note behind, some kind of i.o.u. for the owners... that would alright, wouldn't it?
