Have you ever just wanted to tell someone flat-out what you think of them as a person? Does your roommate have this one quirk that drives you up the wall, like dripping apathy all over the kitchen sink? Sometimes all it takes to be the best person you can be is a dose of self-awareness, sometimes what it takes instead is a cluebat to the head... and sometimes they just have a stupid name you can never quite spell right.

For all this and more, have I got the meme for you!

THE LOWDOWN
i. Post a header with your character's name.
ii. Comment in-character to other people's headers. With what? Depends on your CR! Maybe they're a good person and really should keep on keeping on, maybe literally everyone can see they need to suck it up and confess already, maybe they'll change their wicked ways if just one extra person casts aspersions on their pompadour. Bring in examples if you want, as with any helpful critique. Be as creative as you like! FOURTH-WALLERS you are totally welcome to jump in here too!
iii. Other characters will comment to yours, no doubt overflowing with well-meaning advice on how to be the best person they can be. Your character is free to respond. Excuse you, maybe despair is still in fashion??
iv. A probably unnecessary reminder, but just remember, this is not a place for OOC crit! There are other, more appropriate channels for that.

So, a long time ago, there's these three kingdoms. Full of humans, naturally, 'cause that seems along the lines of what humans do, right? Conquering and kingdom-ing and whatnot.

Anyway. There's three kingdoms. A big one, a medium one, and a little itty bitty one. And they're all at war, because, again, you're fighting over all the surface area you could possibly want, so what else are you gonna do with your time?

[skelebro]

So one day, the war between these kingdoms comes to a real, uh...spearhead.

[skelebro]

Nah, don't worry, that ain't the punchline. I'm just ribbin' ya.

Anyway. One day, fighting comes to a head, and all three kingdoms send everyone they've got down to the battlefield. We're talking knights, we're talking archers, we're talking every soldier in every battalion. And for every knight, of course, there's gonna be a squire.

The first kingdom has tons of squires. The second one, not so much. And the third kingdom, well, they're real small and underfunded, so all they've got is this one elderly knight and one squire to make sure he don't keel over in the middle of battle or nothing.

So it's the night before the big shebang, where it all goes down, and all the knights from the first two kingdoms, well, you know the expression, "party like there's no tomorrow," yeah? That's exactly what they're doin', 'cause it's gonna be a big fight and not everybody's gonna make it out, so why not live a little, right?

'Cept the old knight from the third kingdom, he's not much of a drinker or a partier. So he has his squire make a noose and hang up a pot nice and high above their little fire, and they share a simple meal together.

Come sunrise, though, most of the knights from the first two kingdoms are beyond hungover. They're in no condition to fight. And the third kingdom's knight, well, he's already wobbly on his feet, and his joints are too stiff for him to get outta bed. So the knights, they gotta send in all their squires instead. So they do, and there's a right old tussle between the three kingdoms' squires.

And as fate would have it, when the dust has cleared and the battle's all done, who should stand there but the squire from the third kingdom, solitary and victorious.

What's the moral here? Well, it's all very simple:

DONE.

The squire of the high pot and noose will always be greater than the sum of the other squires.

[And with that story Sans does the impossible. He makes Richie laugh. It's a small breath of a laugh followed by a "heh", but it's still a laugh. Too bad Sans can't see it.]
