Well. If I was, it's doing a terrible job.

[ Considering her kind are regarding as 'evil' spirits. And since she's still here, mistletoe is definitely ineffective. ]

It's actually for the other traditional use of mistletoe!

[ Will has yet to learn about what exactly she is, so for the moment, he takes the comment as a joke aimed at himself. ]

[ Touching his chest as he came to a standstill before her. ]

You think I'm evil? I mean, I know I look mysterious and I have been called brooding before...

[ He jokes as he smiles a little. He's nervous, he always is. ]

Oh, I see... The tradition that traps one as a fairytale would? One that can only be set free with a kiss?

They do say it's always the quiet ones...

[ She wears a contemplative face for a brief moment before it returns to her earnest smile. Just a jest. ]

Yeah, that one! I think it's cute. Besides, kisses are awesome.

[ ... Sounds almost as if it's a recent discovery for her. (It is.) ]

[ Her response amuses Will more than it should and he can't help the smirk that works it's way over his lips. ]

[ Holding his hands up as if he'd been caught. The was she spoke about kisses had him tilting his head. She had a way of saying things that always caught Will's attention. ]

Are they? I mean, they are! Just, I've not had all that many myself...

[ Don't get him wrong, he knows what a kiss is, how to kiss and how nice they feel ... But he's never really had much luck in the romantic department. ]

[ It's good to know she can joke with him. Sometimes she has to be careful of people's limits when it came to her brand of humor. ]

Whaaaattt? [ An incredulous look. ] Handsome dude like you? I find that hard to believe.

[ Rose is a believer in the motto: Flattery will get you everywhere. She does mean it though. Will's not a bad looking guy! A dog person, too, so that's a huge plus (at least in her book).

Though, really, for all her apparent confidence, Rose hasn't had the best luck in the romantic department herself. The opposite, actually. All her relationships (or unrequited feelings) ended abysmally. ]

[ Will finds it easier to joke, though his sense of humor sometimes leaves a bad taste in other people's mouths. He has a darkness in his jokes most of the time, see.

To her compliment, Will actually became a little coy. She thought he was handsome? It was nice and yet brought up the anxiety like a firework going off. ]

It's true... Sad, I know.

[ Rose is unfortunately prone to making others believe she doesn't take anything seriously; she actually takes things way too seriously but makes light of everything rather than reveal how scared or upset she is. It's easier to laugh it all off than be vulnerable. ]

Well! Thankfully, now that this mistletoe is put up it'll be easy to get yourself a kiss. I mean, I'm happy to oblige if you're so inclined.

[ A glance up to the plant then back at him. Insert suggestive eyebrow raise here. ]

[ Oh now, that brought a smile to his face, how could it not?! She was pretty adorable at times, now being one of them. Letting a silent chuckle shake his shoulders, Will smiled and bowed his head in a nod. ]

How could I possibly refuse such a sweet offer?

[ Taking a step closer, so that he's now under the mistletoe with her, Will felt out and took both her hands with his fingers lightly. ]

May I?

[ That's what she likes to see. Rose had meant it when she told him he should smile more; she thinks it suits him! And, hey, if she can help with that by being her doofy self, then... it works out for everyone, right? ]

You may! [ -is her quick, chipper response as she gives a gentle squeeze of his hands with her own. Yeeeaaa boi, kisses are great. ]

[ For her, Will can smile easily. She reminds him of better times, she brings out a peace in him. Besides, it's nice to make other people smile too, Will is so used to being around sad or horrified faces, she's a much needed refreshing chance.

As she accepts his hands, Will laughed and smiled once more. Leaning in to press his lips against hers, he was soft and slow, wanted to enjoy this as much as he could, make it something to remember fondly. ]

[ Rose would be happy to hear that she's able to have such an influence on someone. For so long, she believed that she'd never be able to make anyone feel anything good nor that she truly had any right to. But that of course didn't stop her from trying.

There's a surge of excitement as their lips touch; it's been far too long since she's been kissed. Part of her still thinks it's not something that she should be allowed... but she's of course quick to shoo that thought away. The blond steps up on her toes to push into the kiss a little. He might feel her smile against his lips. Her eagerness is hopefully endearing. ]

[ Rose was indeed endearing and as she went up on her tiptoes to better press into the kiss, Will did feel that growing smile. It was adorable.

He smiled back, wrapping his arms softly around her waist, helping hold her up in place. Enjoying the feel of her soft lips against his, Will kept things small and sweet. It would have been easy to get carried away, but he didn't want to put her off, she seemed so sweet. ]

[ It's good to know the adorableness in this case works in her favor. In the past, it hasn't worked out so well. But she doesn't want to think too much on the past. Instead, she's enjoying the moment right now.

In response to his arms around her waist, she'll bring hers up to loop around his neck. The small, sweet kisses are a refreshing slow change of pace. Rose's problem last time was she let herself get carried away; she's happy to not get in over her head this time.

She takes a moment to pause the kissing, even, to offer up a huff of laugh and say, ]

This is nice. [ in a surprising moment of sincerity. ]
