Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: YOU SMELL SOMETHING?
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

Watch out as you explore the streets of Hadriel, because you're not alone, and there's always something lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect chance to knock you out, drag you back to its cave, and hang you upside down for some reason. This time, the Door has brought in a number of Wampas, from the Star Wars movies.

Wampas are large and furry, in order to stay warm and alive on their native ice planet of Hoth. While their white fur helps them blend in at home, it's less helpful in Hadriel - but that's fine! They're giant and terrifying with big claws and teeth, they don't really need camouflage too. They'll be more than happy to hunt you down - and if they don't eat you right there, they could knock you out and take you home for a later meal. If you wake up in a wampa cave, let's hope you remembered your lightsaber.]

SCENARIO TWO: WE'RE ALL PISSED OFF HERE
[For some reason, something's just pissing you off today. It's something weird, too, something that wouldn't normally bother you at all. Maybe it's jackets or buildings with too many windows. Maybe it's animals or the simple act of sleeping. Whatever it is, it's total bullshit and you hate it.

What are you gonna do about it? Smash some windows? Kick a puppy? Or hey, maybe you'll run across someone who hates that thing just as much as you do, and you'll make a new friend! Or a new enemy, if they're wearing that most horrible of wardrobe items, a jacket.

This is a mini version of our Why Do You Have To Be Mad? event this month!]

D E L I G H T

SCENARIO THREE: THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON
[Generosity and charity have infected the city! And hey, that's a good thing, right? Hadriel could use a little more kindness. Who knows what's causing it - Delight is probably bored - but whatever it is, maybe it's affected you, too.

If it has, you'll be inspired by the desire to give gifts to your friends, your family, that stranger across the street. Of course, Hadriel doesn't have a lot of gift shops, so... well, maybe you should just give them the shirt off your back? Or hey, smash a shop window and grab that can of beans, they'll love that! You could even steal your friend's favorite jacket and give it to your other friend. How generous of you!

Or maybe you're totally unaffected, and a complete stranger just ran up to you on the street and tried to give you a shirt they ripped off their friend. It's, uh. Not weird. Aren't you gonna say thank you?]

[ something is familiar. something is angry. it feels like the same thing and it reminds her of reaching out in the cold to sense the sith lord, the tie fighter pilot, vader. ahsoka follows the sensation if only because she feels compelled to protect this place and the people in it, but nearly loses her nerve when it's not vader- just anakin.

whether or not he can sense her approach, she stops a few feet behind him as he continues to destroy whatever bit of property seems to be angering him. she has to stop it. no one else can, she thinks.

and she abandoned him, didn't she? that makes this her responsibility. ]

I wouldn't do that, if I were you.

[ her voice is loud and even, her lightsabers still hanging from her hips. ]

[He has never been level-headed in his anger. No matter how often Obi-Wan tried to calm his mind, it still has a tendency to fall into chaos until he rights the wrongs that caused his fury. When he can't right them, however, he loses himself further and further in the Darkness.

Ahsoka used to be one of his pillars of Light. For her and for Padmé and Obi-Wan too, he kept to the straight and narrow. Obviously he has left that path and embraced a feverish sort of delirium.

Her voice doesn't help matters and he turns, eyes flaring a pale yellow bordering on gold.]

...Snips. It has been awhile.

[ snips. oh force, she's not strong enough for this. ]

Yes. It has been.

[ longer for her than him, though. she's always made a point to never think too hard about their farewell on coruscant, before she'd headed to mandalore with rex and their men, because for years it had only meant a goodbye to someone so important to her that she would never see again. and now she hated to think about it because she couldn't ignore that he hadn't died, just turned into something she could hardly believe was still her old master. this almost feels like a bridge between the two and it's... upsetting, to say the least. ]

Anakin, what are you doing?

[Anakin is in the midst of dying. He sees his true end in the lava of Mustafar after battling Obi-Wan so recklessly; so angrily. His pain is like a great pressure; sometimes it rumbles and shakes the world around him, killing his hope and his tethers to the Light. Palpatine has taught him that it is best to use the pain instead of being a victim to it and that seems far more alluring that falling into a deep, dark, useless depression.

No one can help him. No one can save him. He must save himself as Darth Vader.]

I felt such anger and I needed to vent. [It hurts to turn to face her. What little sanity is left to him quails at her expression. He is hurting her. He knows it too and he cannot stop.]

You've been here longer than I have, Snips. Is this common?

It is, yes. The technology that brings people here doesn't care what planet or universe they come from, or what time, for that matter.

[ it would be easy to leave it at that, to imply she's lived here for sixteen years instead of living the life she had back in their home galaxy, with the rebellion. and ahsoka does consider it for a moment, but she knows the guilt of dishonesty would give her away. anakin knew her so well as a teenager that she's pretty sure he'd still catch on her on something like that now, no matter how she's grown and matured. ]

But... [ she pauses for a deep breath. ] Even before I arrived here, it had been some time since we last saw one another on Coruscant.

Am I to understand that you have grown here, away from all we know? [He isn't certain he is going to buy that. She is an adult and the last time they spoke, she had been...much younger.] How many years has it been?

[His gaze is piercing, paranoia and pride mixing in such a way to make him sensitive to the smallest of waves in the Force surrounding her.]

You left me. Obi-Wan betrayed me. Padmé is going to die. [Despite those dark words, he smiles.] But I have a plan.

[ is that what that was? a plan? a plan to cut out everyone in his life and turn away from anything good? did he want to become darth vader?

all at once, ahsoka is more angry than sad. and she's hurt. he'll know it immediately. ]

It's been sixteen years since you sent me to Mandalore. I've only been here the last few months. [ a breath, a chance to calm herself... and it fails. ] Whatever it is that you're planning, you need to stop and think!

[Yes...and no. He knows the path he walks is wrong, but he has made himself unfeeling to those he tramples on his way to ultimate power. The sacrifices are worthwhile he tells himself. For her. For him. For them. For the galaxy.]

You sound bitter. [As if he is one to talk about that. He has the gall to look amused.] I have thought about it a great deal. All you need to do is follow me, Snips, and no one will ever harm you again.

[ not bitter, no. bitter doesn't cover grieving him as another fallen jedi for years, nor the uncertainty and pain of his true fate coming to light. but there isn't anything that sums it up well enough, so she lets it go. ]

I've been walking my own path. One that I can protect myself on.

That might not last. You should think of the future. [He barely hides his frustration - Anakin's face has always been too expressive.] When I establish my empire, those who oppose me will be dealt with swiftly.

I am thinking of the future. [ that's what the rebellion is all about - hope for a better future. it's all she's been about for years.

she shakes her head, frustrated. ]

Are you even listening to yourself, Anakin? You sound like a Sith.

[He sees no point in rebelling against what will work for the benefit of the galaxy, but if she prefers to waste her time ~~being a decent person~~, he cannot stop her save...

What's wrong with that?

You're better than the Sith. All they want is destruction and misery and control, but I know how much you care about people, how much good is in you.

Who said the Jedi are good and the Sith are evil? I choose who I am; you should understand that better than anyone. [He clenches his hand into a fist.] I'm tired of playing by someone else's rules! They won't work.
