Well, here's to relationships I never saw coming. I really never expected to see Emily and Maketh get along, let alone bond as tightly as they have. One of the things I love about rp is that you can throw two characters in a situation and just watch what comes out of the fallout. Sometimes it's weird, a lot of the time it's funny, and sometimes it's something else entirely. A big part of Maketh's development at Hadriel has been opening herself up to care about other people as people and not cogs in a machine, and Emily has been greatly instrumental in that. Partially because Maketh can envision someone like Emily being an Imperial officer given the right training - Emily has the drive and determination, and would probably thrive in the competitive environment that was the Imperial Academy - and yet, Emily doesn't need the Empire to be strong. Emily is just Emily. And not because she experienced something horrible and traumatic, though of course that bleeds into it, but simply because that's the person she is. And that blew Maketh's mind a bit. Here is this person who isn't part of anything Maketh can understand and yet Emily is strong, she's a survivor, and she knows exactly who she is and where she stands in the world. All of that without giving herself up to a "higher calling" or duty to someone else.

Maketh really does see her as family now. Much to her amazement.

Keep on writing :) This is something special.

This CR is so good. Maketh is one of Emily's people now. Even if she doesn't get the creepy conditioned soldiery bits. Em is not about to let her soldier mom get hurt if she can help it.

Emily is such fun and I love the cr I've got with both your girls! sans might be shitty at expressing affection lmao but rest assured I've loved every thread I've had with them. I think it's a testament to your writing that I've really started to love Faith, a character I know nothing about, and Emily, a character I wasn't that huge on after my first exposure to Until Dawn, and that I'm really interested in seeing where their stories go!

goddammit i said i was gonna leave this until i had a laptop but it's you, someone who has fast become one of the best people i've met in rp period, someone i am so glad to talk to about anything at all times. someone who has dragged me into two separate hells to play the confused black guy of the canon.

basically if anyone deserves my midnight, vaguely tipsy gushing, it's you.

look, if i had played UD without knowing how well you fleshed out and rounded out Emily, without seeing how relatable and complex you made her, I would never have loved her as much as I do. you take all these little pieces of evidence we see and weave them together to make her this truly 3D, living and breathing young woman who has been through so much and come out of it flawed, screwed up and somehow stronger. And i cannot even begin to explain how much of an honour it is that you not only loved Kate's universe enough to listen to me ramble about it, but to pick up and app one of the most important characters to it, the girl who would essentially be the protag if I ever wrote more than ten pages of anything. you've made Faith more than I could ever dream and I adore how well she and Kate play off each other. I have nothing but complete confidence in letting you take and develop her how you want to because you're just that skilled. I can't wait to see what the new year brings for her, or for Mattily as a unit as we progress in this game.

Man, so I didn't think Emily and Carlisle were going to get along at first. And they didn't, and they still don't sometimes, but their CR has come so much further than that, and all because Emily asked him if he could teach her magic. I'd never really thought about it in the terms of it happening in-game before that, and it was such a good plot idea that has really fostered a great friendship between them. I'm so stoked about it, and can't wait for them to have even more threads in the future! He definitely needs to meet her boyfriend. ;)

Merry Christmas! I've had so much fun with our threads and where they've gone, and I can't wait to see where else they'll go!

IIII honestly cannot believe what a profound impact Emily has had on Glacius, or how much he's been able to affect her in turn, but it's honestly so heartwarming to me and I'm so glad it's happening. I love the fact that Glacius has so easily seen this side of her that few others have--every time he's like "Emily is so nice and kind" and everyone else is just like "???" makes me chuckle, but it's also deeply satisfying. The fact that she believes him to be such a force of good is really moving too, because the shit that happens in this game often challenges his perception of himself, so having someone so firmly in his corner really helps him out. This CR is simply a treasure, man, thanks so much for taking part in it with me!

And of course you already know what a stellar player and person you are. Your enthusiasm for every little thing is great and you always make time to pop into my Plurks be it for plotting or just to comment on a little doodle... I really feel like you make time and effort for me and that does a lot for making me feel engaged. So thank you!! You're one of the people that really helps Hadriel feel like a home game. Be proud of that and everything else you've done. :]

I love your Emily! I still miss our Emily and Josh threads and the awkward but weirdly deep friendship they were kinda building. I'm so happy she's still around and I really need to tag her with Adam. I don't think I've threaded with Faith, not more than some short Hope threads, but I love her energy and her attitude, it's so great to see that in Hadriel.

You've been such a gem to have as a player, too, I really admire how proactive you are, how much you get involved with other characters and plot and inspire everyone else to get involved too. You're just a genuinely kind, lovely person. We're so lucky to have you. ♥
