About Them: Regis Lucis Caelum is the former King of Lucis and widely known in his world as the King of Light. He's the father of Noctis Lucis Caelum, the Chosen King who will restore the "light" and reclaim their fallen kingdom from the hands Of Niflhiem. Regis a kindly old man known in Hadriel for his skills as a "mage" and his other oddities. He has quite a sharp tongue at times but Regis is normally quite honorable and chartible.
Notable CR: He frequently speaks with his canonmates (Noctis, Lunafreya, Gladiolus and Prompto) but he's known to speak with both Ikaruga and Maketh. He's also becoming fastly fond of Carlisle and Rey.
Current Plans: All hell is about to break loose now that "Ardyn" is in Hadriel. Regis is going to defend his son from Ardyn's sinister ploys even if it kills him in the process. He's also going to ensure the safety of the Oracle, Lunafreya, and do his best to keep Noct's friends from harm. He's been trying to beseech with the deities of Hadriel but only so far spoken briefly with Sorrow. Regis is going to ask for their blessings one at a time in hopes of utilizing their magic in hopes of defeating Ardyn here and now.

The only problem is that Ardyn is much more powerful than him and Regis is pretty old physically. Using too much magic is starting to put a bit of a strain on Regis, even forming his magical barriers sometimes hurts him too much. His current log (I will list it below) highlights that truth. Regis will have to rely on his allies and friends for the battles ahead. However, Regis sometimes thinks he can just do it all himself. He's quite problematic.

Also, in regards to the Event, Regis is on "Team Sorrow" and he's all for suggestions as of how to endure this contest between the deities. So please hit me up with any ideas pertaining to this!

CR you're looking for: Looking for more people for Regis to meet. He's not exactly "reclusive" but Regis is very wary of Hadriel and it's populace. The poor king somewhat fears the unknown and it takes much to lure him out of his personal boundaries. As of recently, Regis just had his bad knee semi-healed by Carlisle, so he's training again. I have an here.

I say we see what happens in the plot before we assume anything will be lost. Regis has a habit of taking the youth under his wing. Shuuya definitely would get "dad" on. He'll try his best to protect Shuuya however he may if the two hit it off well.

LAUGHS holy shit Regis

Listen, Ardyn will not take kindly to all of this hostility. Y'all just need to calm down and accept the fact that getting to Eos is priority, and things will take care of themselves from there. :')

However I am super down for this. Let's be real, he hates you Caelums, and he won't be against physically harming any castmate here just to get a point across.

Wait! Our TDM log together is going to be the first time these two meet!

The second meeting will be in the "He Who Hunts Beasts" log I have open. Maybe then later we could have Ardyn and Regis meet again if Reggie dares to challenge him to a duel.

I'm all up for Ardyn hurting Regis to get to Noct. It would be quite traumatic for both Regis and his son.

This sounds good!! We will go with this order of events!

The whole Ardyn hurting Regis thing can happen in a duel, if Reggie does challenge him to one. It'd be the perfect opportunity for some physical (and maybe psychological) pain.

Oh boy! I'm up for all the psychological pain you can offer this poor man. That might be the key to getting Regis to back off from his one man crusade against Ardyn.

Regis would have everyone fooled into believing he's utterly fearless but the fall and destruction of his kingdom pains him more than anyone could ever know. That and the fact he can still feel that awful blade stabbing through his chest like a hot knife through butter, so maybe body horror?

The old king is a tad squeamish about blood, especially his own. After being brutalized by Glauca until death, Regis is much more sensitive about things like that now. If Ardyn really wants to hurt the old man; do something regarding Regis having to hurt/kill his own son.

That would nearly break poor Regis. He's not prepared mentally for the future may bring. It's by his blade and his hand that Noctis finally does die at the end of the game, and this is something Regis dreads.

OH NO REGIS.....

Ardyn can definitely point out the fact that his kingdom is in tatters right now, and maybe even how terrible the state of Insomnia is, during the whole ten years of darkness. That he can try to unravel Regis with, using words alone.

HOWEVER if we want to be... particularly mean.... Ardyn can and will utilize his nifty little illusion powers to traumatize the man. If they do end up dueling in the future, he can always allow Regis to get a nasty stab through his midsection, and then making himself look like Noct in the process for maximum trauma. Excessive blood and all! He'll even play up the "being born just to die" thing, just for him.

THAT'S JUST AN IDEA THO. If you have something else you'd rather work with, I'm more than open.

Nagato would very much learn to know Regis better and it would be grand if it didn't include tentacled monsters also, pretty please. He is always up for a cup of tea though.

Tea time with Regis shall be the next log! Does Nagato like Earl Grey?

He's usually not this active fighting beasts but he wanted to see if could still handle combat on his own. Regis realizes how much he honestly does rely on Noctis now.

Nagato comes from Not!Japanese so he doesn't know Earl Grey but he'll be willing to try. It's tea and he is fan of the stuff!

Yeah, they can talk about that. Nagato too has fallen from grace, he is usually so much better than that and in Hadriel, well. All the cool powers are gone :(
