Geez, Asgore is pretty damn old then. I never really thought about that before. /the more you know~!

In any case, I'm sending my trainwreck of a king to yours since Regis here does have a slight bias against monsters/fiends/daemons alike. He used to hunt monsters in his youth along the outskirts of his kingdom. Regis started eradicating fiends from Lucis as an initiative to make his kingdom a safer place for his citizens.

During all of Regis' journey, he never quite met a beast likened to a mortal man before. So, him meeting Asgore will be mildly shocking for him.
