Two Truths and a Lie

• Other characters reply and try to guess the lie

The short answer is that 'Alphas' is a term in my world for humans is enhanced abilities, for example being able to manipulate minds through the utilization of hormones from an enlarged lobe of the brain. There are many variations of abilities though until recently we really had no idea just how many Alphas might be among us and this unknown variable made the government uneasy. I was brought on to assess the Alphas we did find, and to analyze whether the Alpha could be a risk to themselves or their community.

I would try and find them a specialist to help them cope with their abilities. Learn to live with them.

Okay but then what's up with those prison experiments?

That was...unbeknownst to me. I had been led to believe the specialists I was sending my patients to were there for rehabilitation and support. That my patients would be getting help so that they could lead productive lives among their communities. But it was revealed to me just before I arrived here that all of that had been a cover. The government wanted the more powerful alphas for experimentation, and had no intention of ever releasing them from their black site.

So this is kind of like that thing where they tell kids their dog went to live on a nice farm. [Wait, shit, even he realizes that one was out of line.] Not that these people are dogs, or whatever. Sorry.

Uh...yes. That would be sort of the same vein of thinking. Clearly they wanted to keep me out of the loop of their larger project to guarantee I would not make trouble about the inhumane treatment of my patients.

I was subsequently put in prison when I attempted to out their project on live television.
