Well, yes, but I still worry for your health.

That is because you are sweet. [Said straight up, with a bright grin on his face. He knows most people only see the skittish or ornery sides of the clergyman; he likes knowing that he gets more than that.] Anyways, I worry for yours in turn. And that is why I must learn to make you healthy meals... every little bit helps.

[He reddens just a bit.]

I can make my own meals, Glacius. I appreciate the effort, but you need not risk yourself for me.

Glacius' grin widens when he sees the faint blush, but the expression seems a little bit softened now by his partner's sentiments.] I never said you couldn't... but I like to be involved. I like to learn about what... constitutes a good life for you. Any risk is worth bringing you familiarity in a strange land, and hopefully making you happy in doing so... and compared to what we often face, this is not much of one at all.

So please. [Glacius arches a brow, back to teasing, albeit more gently this time. He knows about how this next request is going to go over, but he'd like to think Carlisle will one day learn to go with the flow a bit more-- at least in regards to their partnership.] Do try not to worry so much. My aim is to cause you less stress, not more.

This is true. You have a wondrous talent, and I am honored that you would use it on me if I needed it. [And if he suffered a burn, even a small one, he would certainly need it; as one might expect, they're particularly grievous for a species that thrives in the cold, tending to not heal on their own but instead degrade over time. He's not going to mention that now, however, as it seems like it would be counterproductive to trying to lower his partner's stress levels.]
