Welcome to Hadriel's test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open September 24th, and apps are open October 1st. Please remember that there is an app cap of 20 apps.

Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: TITAN TERRORS
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

In this case, the monster behind you may as well be the monster above you. No, not anything flying overhead, but the freakishly giant nude monsters hellbent on shoving your crunchy body into their mouths and chowing down.

Titans are large humanlike creatures who have superior strength, though more limited intelligence. Much like zombies, they desire only to devour all of the humans in their vicinity and will use any tools at their disposal to do so. Get your steel guitars ready and get pumped, because sie sind das essen und wir sind die jager!!!]

SCENARIO TWO: PAINTBALL ROYALE
[You've got a gun.

Okay, it's not a real gun- it's actually a paintball gun, which seems to knock people unconscious when you hit them. That's a pretty sweet deal! Except, you really want to be the last one standing, and you'll knock out countless people to do it. Every fight feels like life or death, whether you're waiting in the shadows to get the drop on someone or spraying paint all across the open streets in the fain hopes that you might get a tag or two.

Either way, if you lose, you'll find yourself waking up in a party! That's not so bad, right? It's a giant gathering of all the paint-covered losers in the city, with free food and drinks and a distribution of excellent prizes. What did you win? Fight your friends, but not in the dark and trauma-y way, and be the next winner of our Hadriel death (not really) match!

This is a mini version of our Party Royale event this month.]

C O N F U S I O N

SCENARIO THREE: WALK WALK FASHION BABY
[Your trusty leather jacket is gone. So are your worn and torn jeans, all your summer dresses, your boots and high tops and heels. Suddenly, nothing is where you expect it to be, not even that load of clothes that you've left in the laundry for the past few weeks (oops). In the stead of all of your beloved duds, you find some stuff that... might be a little questionable.

Whether you were the lucky recipient of the hand shawl, the face skirt, the suspender sweats or some other wild atrocity, you'll be sure to have some fun trying to maneuver around the city in your weird, cumbersome outfits. At least you don't look as silly as that guy over there in the sea urchin costume!]

How good am--dude! [He scoffs.] Like I'm about to answer that! Would you really trust my answer, anyway?

[git gud, kyna.]

[She rolls her eyes.]

Oh my god.

[Come on, Newt, she's trying to make a strategic alliance!]

Look, I'm the most badass wizard here, alright? [A questionable assertion.] If you're actually good, we could team up.

[Okay, that actually gets Newt's attention. He's incredibly curious about all these magic-users running around. He's so jealous...

He peeks out from behind the counter just enough to get a look at her. She... doesn't really look like a wizard?]

I might be into that. Prove it.

["Might be". Kyna rolls her eyes, then waves a hand and disappears. She's as quiet as she possibly can be as she sneaks across the room to crouch beside him and lets the spell dissipate.]

Boo.

[And suddenly she's gone. Uh? Okay, point proven, but now she could be anywhere... He spends a moment squinting suspiciously around the room before he decides, okay, she's probably gone, maybe? He's about to crawl over and grab his gun when she reappears next to him.

He shrieks.]

Jeez! Don't sneak up on me like that! Uncool! [He scurries around to the other side of the counter before she can get a shot off. Probably?]

[Kyna bursts out laughing. Wow, that sure was a shriek.]

Hey, you wanted proof. Are you in or not?

[Ugh. He's just gonna ignore the laughing. That invisibility or teleporting or whatever she just did could definitely come in handy. He's not one to pass up an opportunity to outfox everyone else, even if that opportunity involves using some girl for her magic cheat codes. It'll be good to have someone to throw under the bus later if it comes down to it.]

Maybe. How do I know I can trust you?

[Kyna shrugs.]

If I wanted to shoot you, I could have done it like five seconds ago. What's the point of showing off and doing it later?

[...]

Showing off.

[That's... fair.]

You almost pissed yourself, so that's good enough for me. I don't want to die or get put into a coma or whatever the fuck is happening.

I did not almost piss myself. Ew!

[She raises a good point about the coma thing, though.]

I'm not interested in losing, either. [...] So, uh, sure. Let's partner up.

Sick. I'm Kyna. Are you gonna tell me what you're doing now?

[He stands, still a bit wary but tired of talking from around a cabinet. He waves a hand at the pile of scrap parts he's got scattered over the floor, his gun halfway disassembled in the middle of it all.]

Newt. I'm building a turret. That way I can let it do the work while I'm safely hidden behind a building or something.

How the hell are you doing that? Are you Liam Neeson or something?

Uh? No? [He doesn't quite get the reference? Liam Neeson sure is a name he's heard.]

It's pretty basic engineering. Ideally, I'd be able to set it up with a motion detector so it could just pick people off on its own, but I don't have the parts for that. I'm settling for remote control.

[Wow, that joke fell on its face.]

Settling? How do you know how to do this?

[He cocks an eyebrow.]

Again, it's basic engineering. I've built way more complicated stuff than this. Hell, I put together a Pons system out of junk parts like right before I got here.

[He figures she isn't going to know what that is, but it's really impressive, okay??]

I don't know what that means.

[And so she doesn't sound impressed. Sorry, Newt.]

But whatever. I'm down for paintball turrets.

[Without waiting for any sort of invitation, she plops down beside him.]
