Additional Info: i'm in EST! and, holy cow, i have been crazy slow lately. i work in retail so my work schedule is gonna be p crazy through the holidays, but i'm hoping i'll find a more consistent groove again after black friday. my goal is to clear both inboxes every day, but lately that's been more like every 2-3 days, and right now i'm wading through a backlog. that said, i'm super willing to prioritize threads if anyone would like, and i'm still down for doing new stuff!! i'm just gonna be a lil slow for the foreseeable future.

About Them: Harlan is a SORCERER!!! which sounds cooler than he is. He's from a modernized DnD campaign, where he works for an adventuring guild and spends a lot of time pulling hilarious goofs on his friends instead of actually doing his goddamn job. He has absolutely zero chill, which can either mean he's the most enthusiastic friend ever or he's super emotional and can't always rein himself in (or both, both is good). He's super social and loves talking to people, though he's been quietish since landing in Hadriel because wow this town does not quit?? He can read people pretty well (usually? sometimes sarcasm is lost on him) and he's very straightforward, which... can either be a pro or a con depending on your personal taste, whoops. You can trust him to be upfront and honest with you, at least. Aaand he is super into music and plays guitar and is trying to get his hands on one at the moment. Jam with him, please.

Also, quick plug for his permissions and opt-out stuff. Harlan struggles with mental illness, self harm, homicidal urges, and a history of mental and sexual abuse, and he can us magic that messes with people's heads. If you have a minute to let me know what your comfort level is with those things and/or if you would like to avoid tagging him altogether, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Notable CR: He's bffs with Tucker and Kyna, who are part of his adventuring crew back home, and he's gotten close to Michael, Delmar, Atem, George, and Hayden in Hadriel. He has budding CR with a few other folks, too.

Current Plans: Harlan is currently just trying to see himself and his friends through this Null thing unscathed? It's been A Challenge because everyone seems determined to get their butts kicked, but he's trying to lay low, at least. I don't really have any particular plans with him other than that? I'm open to new stuff, but I've been OOCly laying low because my schedule's been busy.

CR you're looking for: I'm up for anything! I wouldn't mind more negative CR for him, though? Positive is good too but he hasn't pissed enough people off, it's weird.

I know you're super busy and all but I really wished these two would talk more. I would love to have Atem realizing he was that little sad child from that creepy dream. I don't think I can give you negative CR, I'm sorry... Unless that convo goes terribly wrong, Atem is pushy and will try to have him open up if given the chance, that can't always be good... :/

About Them: Newt is super smart, super arrogant, and super obnoxious. He's also super enthusiastic, which usually makes him at least kind of fun to be around, but that's been tempered mildly now that he's stuck in Hadriel. He'll bounce back eventually, probably? Anyway, Newt's from a version of Earth that's being invaded by massive Godzilla-style aliens called Kaiju, and he's a biologist that studies them. THE biologist, really. He's lowkey highkey obsessed with them, so step right up if you want him to talk your ear off about how awesome and amazing the Kaiju are. There's no Kaiju in Hadriel so that's a bummer (SORT OF???) but there are a lot of crazy weird other species lurking in the caves, which is what he's currently interested in. That'll go well, surely. Newt's impulsive and is incredibly dense when it comes to other people's feelings and stuff, but he means well...? Mostly? IDK MAN Newt's a hot mess and is very Extra and has a habit of infuriating everyone around him, but this is mostly due to his unwillingness to rein himself in. Gotta be all Newt all the time, dude.

Notable CR: I AM SO BEHIND WITH NEWT??? He doesn't have a ton of firm CR yet, but he's like ??? about Alphys and Rosie because they both recognized him and he still hasn't quite figured out wtf is up with that yet.

Current Plans: Newt briefly argued with the Null, but has been largely ignoring that whole pickle ever since. He just wants to go home, man. I'm hype for the squad thing to get Newt some shiny new CR, but I have no real plans for him right now.

CR you're looking for: ANY AND ALL. I guess specifically if anyone wants to weirdly adopt this dumpster fire and be roommates with him, that'd be cool? I haven't given him a house yet, whoops. He's a terrible roommate tho so sorry in advance if anyone seriously wants to take him in LMAO.
