About Them: Oscar is an automaton who has changed a lot over the course of his canon because of his close friendship with a human and the experiences he has shared with her. As a 'sophisticated butler type', he holds himself to a high standard and maintains a polite formality with everyone. He is kind and self-sacrificing in his nature, analytical in his thinking, and strong-willed. He's taking more notice of the nuances in his interactions with living beings these days and is becoming less and less concerned with maintaining a formal distinction between human and machine. Was in Hadriel for three months (Aug-Oct 2016) before being apped again four months ago and taken from a later canon point with a different body.
Notable CR: Friends with Nick Valentine. He quietly looks out for Rey from a distance because of Nick and the fake Dr. Undine Valentine who he has fond memories of from the Stepford event. He gave one of his rooms to his friendly neighbor Irisviel who then shot him during paintball. He's in the Fire Brigade and is now looking to join the Clinic team in some capacity.
Current Plans: His traumatic experience in Rey's fear dream along with the recent Null communication has him fearing the absolute worst-case scenario (i.e. the Null showing up and trying to kill everyone). He is still getting his mind around the concept of machines hurting humans. On top of his Fire Brigade duties, he wants to start helping at the Clinic, learn first aid, and if he learns about it through word of mouth, he might help Delmar with his hideout project too.

Girl was obsessed with robots/androids as a kid, so the childish part of her would love to meet Oscar. She'd be burning with a hundred questions about how he exists and generally be awed by him. She also knows some basic field first aid that she's happy to pass on, if he wants to know some extreme 'oops we don't have bandages just burn it closed' sort of medicine.

He would be happy to talk with her about Voralberg automatons since he is so proud to be one! And I'd love for him to have more CR with kids in general. As for the basic field first aid I'm thinking he'd definitely listen but internally back away at the same time from that kind of information. 8( 2Xtreme.

Great because she'll want to know everything. Aaha, she'd stop if he said it bothered her, she's just used to working in extreme conditions. She doesn't trust modern medicine.

He'll answer every question he can. And it would be interesting for him to get a crash course in extreme first aid from her even though it's unlikely he'd resort to such extreme methods himself. It would probably make him worry even more about the consequences of potential supply shortages.

Girl will feel a little bad for making him worry but also think that worrying is good. Everyone should be as paranoid as she was raised to be.

It looks like they were put on the same squad for the upcoming event, so likely they'll have plenty of time to bond!

Bless you Oscar. Rey has no idea. She should. Soon. I'd love for them to have some follow up CR after the dreamshare stuff, since that shook him up and that's also crap that Rey has to look forward to back home.

It'll make up for how horrible I dropped the ball on the Stepford Summer event, sob.

So the dreamshare thread may not go this way, but I'm pretty sure if he does realize Rey is alive and IV expresses enough interest in him, and he finds out that she wants to take them apart for examination, he's going to literally attempt to offer himself up in Rey's place as a test subject or something. Not that it would... work, I guess, but he'd try. But again, I don't know if she'll be that curious to know what makes him tick pffft.

Noooo don't worry about it. ♥ I'm having a blast with the dream thread so far! We should def do more stuff to follow it up in the near future.

I'm sure it'll be clear soon enough that Rey is alive and conscious, and just rendered immobile! IV has a particular interest in Rey due to how she was made, so the IV Rey knows likely wouldn't take up on that deal at all - but she'd be amused that silly tin man dude would try to make such a trade and be a creeper anyway.

Rey, on the other hand, would have no idea why he would even try to do that, because reasons, so it'd be good thing to come up in follow up CR!

Because he is the worst/best hero, Rey, that's why. :C But yeah, we'll see whether it comes to that. He'll want to save her somehow, for sure.
