honestly if we didnt hate the same people we would have a friendship based on nothing

Have you ever just wanted to tell someone flat-out what you think of them as a person? Does your roommate have this one quirk that drives you up the wall, like dripping apathy all over the kitchen sink? Sometimes all it takes to be the best person you can be is a dose of self-awareness, sometimes what it takes instead is a cluebat to the head... and sometimes they just have a stupid name you can never quite spell right.
For all this and more, have I got the meme for you!
THE LOWDOWN
i. Post a header with your character's name.
ii. Comment in-character to other people's headers. With what? Depends on your CR! Maybe they're a good person and really should keep on keeping on, maybe literally everyone can see they need to suck it up and confess already, maybe they'll change their wicked ways if just one extra person casts aspersions on their pompadour. Bring in examples if you want, as with any helpful critique. Be as creative as you like!
iii. Other characters will comment to yours, no doubt overflowing with well-meaning advice on how to be the best person they can be. Your character is free to respond. Excuse you, maybe despair is still in fashion?
iv. Feel free to assume there's a compulsion to speak their minds, if your character's not usually the type to give unsolicited advice.
v. A probably unnecessary reminder, but just remember, this is not a place for OOC crit! There are other, more appropriate channels for that.

Even though that's the point of the meme.]I talk to some people about some things.
[A+ defense there. Nailed it.]
no subject
Ah? What things?
no subject
Things that are relevant and I don't foresee being able handle alone.
[Which gets him out of sharing a lot of stuff because he's a psychologist so obviously that means he can deal with most things. Right? Right.]

Well... Thanks, for the first part, I guess?
[He loves you too, Brennan.]
But it's not like there are great choices here, and you know I can barely cook, and I haven't had time lately to figure out some way around both of those problems.
[He has all the excuses!!! Leave him and his uncooked ramen snacks alone.]

[ c: ]
That is not true. There is an orchard with plenty of edible crops, and you and I have both complained of boredom. I even gave you a quick cooking lesson once.
[Never.]

Okay, fine. It's also an area of focus that I just don't care to put the time and energy into at the moment.
[That's much closer to the truth, so be happy. >:c]

Why not?
[She does not understand.]

You know how when you have a case that's particularly interesting, or that you have some personal investment in, taking breaks for eating and sleeping and other things like just seems like a waste of time and effort that you could be putting toward what you're doing?
no subject
Yes, but we've already established that does not apply here, since we are both lacking in projects to work on.

[Also he might be utterly delighted with that descriptor; he's used to people not liking him at all, so he's usually happy with just being viewed neutrally let alone positively.]

[Congrats?]

Thank you. I can't speak for whether any other psychologists aren't secretly assholes or not, but I'm glad I could at least give a different impression.
[Although Lance can be a bit of a nightmare himself. But he does do his best to reserve that for personal behavior, not professional.]

[Both because of that glowing review from Ephemera, and that Lance is competitive and doesn't necessarily always like dealing with other mental health professionals. He gets along with some--like Wyatt and Rosen--just fine, but others he clashes with badly especially since he's not always enthusiastic about people being able to read him as well as he can read them.]

[Because fuck that guy and his smug fucking face.]
How he lived that long, I don't fucking know. Asshole.

[He's curious. Tell him the gossip.]

[All the better to break them with. Ephemera's mouth twitches.]
I never touched that fucker. But he only tried that with me once.
