The Yearbook Superlatives Meme

You know how in yearbooks people get nominations like 'most likely to succeed' or 'most athletic' or whatever? Well, Hadriel doesn't have a yearbook, but that doesn't mean nominating people isn't still fun.

✔ Post with your character!
✔ Other characters respond ICly with the titles/awards that they think are most fitting, from 'best hair' to 'annoying but cute' to 'angriest posts on the network for no good reason'. The more ridiculous the better, honestly.
✔ Characters can of course argue (or agree!) with their new designations.
✔ Respond to other people! Spread the judgement love~
✔ Have fun!

I am not certain, but if it were my choice, it would be!

[She is at times the best human to learn about human culture with, and the worst. It's a coin toss every time.]

I think it is a much more realistic and meaningful superlative than "best dressed" or "most likely to succeed." Both of those are too vague to be of any value.

[Brennan, please.....]
glacius: (I'm not sure I understand.)

[Glacius will just go with the former; it helps that he feels like she has seen eye to eye with him on things, even if they've only met a couple of times now.] I can see that... particularly, ha, the part about dress. I can't exactly claim any accolades there, though I... hm. I do have a rather splendid sash that one of my friends made for me...

[And yet, he doesn't seem completely happy about that despite the fact that it is a cherished gift from a cherished friend. There's something of a story there, one that sees to be tugging at the back of his mind as he recalls the garment.]
notimpervious: (don't say that it can't be done)

[She has so many questions about what his culture and his people would give casual accolades for, however, she's interested to know something else.]

Sashes are typically markers of status or authority. Your friend must have held you in high esteem if they made you one.

[Brennan is operating under the assumption that this friend he speaks of is a member of his species. She has no idea it was someone who met him here and grew to respect and care for him so much.]
glacius: (These things rattle round my head.)

She, ah. Claimed to have. [But hearing confirmation of its meaning just makes him feel all the worse about her being gone. He doesn't even have the consolation that she went back to a better place, free of torture of the gods; she was one of those rare cases who claimed they the world they were pulled from was somehow worse than this prison-city. It's unfathomable to the alien; he can only hope she's found a way to stay safe.]
notimpervious: (if this were my last glimpse of winter)

I cannot imagine why someone would say that without meaning it, and invest time and energy into making you a sash to support their claims. She must have meant it.

[Whether it was made by hand or with technology of any kind, time and effort were still expended for someone else's sake. That is not nothing.]
glacius: and hope there's better things ahead. (You have to push through)

[personal profile] glacius 2017-12-15 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I know. It is not... I do not doubt that. That is not the problem.
notimpervious: (demonstrating confusion)

[personal profile] notimpervious 2017-12-15 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
What is the problem, then?
glacius: (I know words won't be enough.)

It's... hard to talk about. [Obviously, by the way he's beating around the bush as much as possible. He tries his best to elaborate without prodding that wound too roughly.] I miss her.
