Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: DON'T FEED THE WILDLIFE
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

This time, the monsters are very large and very scary, with the crocodiles from Lake Placid, a 1999 movie that was about... well, giant crocodiles.

These critters are massive, measuring over 20 feet in length and full of raw power. They're capable of taking down bears, eating full cows, and decapitating unsuspecting victims. Despite their size, they are quite fast and could definitely take someone by surprise with their quick movement. Look out for those formerly-still ponds, they back a serious bite...]

SCENARIO TWO: SHINING, SHIMMERING, SPLASHING
[Everyone's gotta drink sometimes and when you're in a new environment, that dehydration is kicking in double. Unfortunately, the water in Hadriel right now is... tainted. Nothing about it tastes particularly off, but one drink of it and you'll find yourself with strange and unusual powers. These abilities aren't necessarily gamechangers, and they aren't the full power, but they're definitely there at your fingertips.

Give your friends nightmares, give your enemies a super strong punch to the jaw- the sky is the limit, but be careful for when it wears off and those you've affected seek their revenge with their own water-powered abilities. Maybe you should find the memory erasing pond...

This is a mini event, based off of our shining, shimmering, splashing event going on this month!]

SCENARIO THREE: HAIR OF THE DOG
[Were you partying last night, or are the gods just exceptionally cruel? Either way, you have what seems to be a killer hangover. Stomachaches, headaches, and general feeling like the undead- it's all happening and you're feeling the worst of it.

You're welcome to try and attempt your own hangover cures, but little seems to alleviate this. It just takes time, and maybe a friend or two to rub your back and make some food for you- that is, if you can keep it down. Or maybe your friends are in the same boat as you are and you need to commiserate. Either way, you're in for a hell of a day.

Maybe just take it easy for awhile.]

( The hardest. After so long travelling through time, Serah's not sure she knows what time anywhere is. And 500AF? Maybe in some places, like Oerba, falling in on itself as a centre of spacetime paradoxes, she's been so far in the future, but it's hard to say. All she knows for sure is that the Bresha Ruins timeline she just left wasn't nearly so far ahead. All she does know is that this place looks nothing like any of the locations where they'd previously found paradoxes, or the Void Beyond. That, and there's some very angry monsters in it.

So, for now, it's time to fight, to summon the magic she started learning on moving to Gran Pulse, the abilities which have only gotten stronger since travelling through time, They can discuss what's going on between spells and once these things stop moving. She glances back to the form of a friend rediscovered through time and lets out a series of elemental blasts, teeth gritting painfully. )

Let's finish this.

[Something he can agree with her on - no matter when, or where they are, this is nowhere that he has seen in his observations of her as she slipped through the timelines. These monsters, too, are unfamiliar, but what matters is that they have a lot of teeth and that their attention is far too closely focused on the both of them.]

Right.

[The boomerang in his hand flicks out, and Hope moves between the spells that spin from Serah's fingertips to clear the area around them of hostiles.

It's good to fight with her. Strangely, it simply feels good to fight.]

( A lot of teeth and thick, heavy tails that could definitely reach them if these beasts attempted it. But despite their size, their intimidating appearance, magic and weaponry does what it's designed to do, and they emerge no worse for wear once each monster falls unconscious or worse. )

I guess... we should go.

( There's always a small twinge of guilt there, no matter how far through time she travels or how many beasts she and Noel had fought. It's not really their fault, just the rules of survival.

But, finally, her eyes cast to their surroundings properly. )

We're not on Pulse... Or Cocoon. ( There's only one sun in the sky, but it's small and nothing is familiar. Not this Colosseum, nor the world they come to when they exit it. ) I wonder if this place has a name.
