Welcome to Hadriel's test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open December 25th, and apps are open January 1st. Please remember that there is an app cap of 20 apps.

Two quick points here as well:

1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: DON'T FEED THE WILDLIFE
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

This time, the monsters are very large and very scary, with the crocodiles from Lake Placid, a 1999 movie that was about... well, giant crocodiles.

These critters are massive, measuring over 20 feet in length and full of raw power. They're capable of taking down bears, eating full cows, and decapitating unsuspecting victims. Despite their size, they are quite fast and could definitely take someone by surprise with their quick movement. Look out for those formerly-still ponds, they back a serious bite...]

SCENARIO TWO: SHINING, SHIMMERING, SPLASHING
[Everyone's gotta drink sometimes and when you're in a new environment, that dehydration is kicking in double. Unfortunately, the water in Hadriel right now is... tainted. Nothing about it tastes particularly off, but one drink of it and you'll find yourself with strange and unusual powers. These abilities aren't necessarily gamechangers, and they aren't the full power, but they're definitely there at your fingertips.

Give your friends nightmares, give your enemies a super strong punch to the jaw- the sky is the limit, but be careful for when it wears off and those you've affected seek their revenge with their own water-powered abilities. Maybe you should find the memory erasing pond...

This is a mini event, based off of our shining, shimmering, splashing event going on this month!]

SCENARIO THREE: HAIR OF THE DOG
[Were you partying last night, or are the gods just exceptionally cruel? Either way, you have what seems to be a killer hangover. Stomachaches, headaches, and general feeling like the undead- it's all happening and you're feeling the worst of it.

You're welcome to try and attempt your own hangover cures, but little seems to alleviate this. It just takes time, and maybe a friend or two to rub your back and make some food for you- that is, if you can keep it down. Or maybe your friends are in the same boat as you are and you need to commiserate. Either way, you're in for a hell of a day.

Maybe just take it easy for awhile.]

What cruiser?

[Quickly losing his patience, but he'll hear him out. This is Akechi, after all -- he might be dishonest and murderous, but he never dropped information without a reason.]

[He looks at him coolly for a few moments, trying to find signs of deceit or dishonesty within Kitagawa's eyes. But he can find none— only a genuine, irritated confusion.]

...ah. [... he supposes it's not any less ludicrous than the rest of this city. The fact that Kitagawa forgot. Of course. The one thing he did that might've made the Thieves more amenable towards him... forgotten.

Lines up with the luck he usually has.

So now he's faced with another decision. Does he really want to explain everything, all over again? Heh, not even remotely... the first time was exhausting enough as it was. And he definitely doesn't want to explain it all again on top of this damned hangover.]

I suppose it isn't important. As for an explanation, I simply don't feel like it.

Good day, Kitagawa-kun.

[And he'll be moving to go around him, now.]

You selfish--! [As Akechi brushes past him, Yusuke acts on impulse, grabbing him by the arm. Which is probably the stupidest thing he's ever done given how dangerous he is, but hey.] You don't just get to decide what is and isn't important here! I had to pretend to continue my life while hearing one of my dearest friends had committed suicide. While you... you're happy to just walk away from this because you "don't feel like" explaining?!

[Did Akechi even know that he'd been outsmarted, that Akira was alive after all? He has no idea, and Yusuke isn't about to be the one to betray that secret. Still, the distress and worry it had caused them all had still been real.]

Your motives in the conspiracy don't matter in this city. But if you insist on being a danger to my friends, I won't let you get away with it.

[lowkeycrazy]

[He cringes and hisses through his teeth, stopping dead in his tracks as he glares at Kitagawa. He's silent throughout his rant, and when he's finally done...? He'll attempt to yank his arm out of the boy's grasp.]

Spare me your theatrics. I'm well aware your dear leader survived.

And I believe the only one insisting on any sort of interaction here is you. But I'll spell it out for you if I must.

I'm no longer interested in having anything to do with your little group. The betrayal was strictly a matter of business in the first place. In this place, I've nothing to gain by confronting any of you.

[He raises his chin slightly.] Stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of yours.

[Yusuke lets him go the second he tries to yank his arm away -- he's not actually interested in restraining him, just trying to make him stop long enough to listen.

"A matter of business." Hadn't Akechi acted like Akira's friend, too? It makes his blood run cold at the thought.]

...Fine. If that's how you want things to be, we have nothing more to discuss.

[lowkeycrazy]

[Akechi's gaze lingers on Kitagawa for only a moment before he turns away, and wordlessly walks off.

Heh, how he wants things to be...? He's not entirely sure what that is, himself.]
