Welcome to another combo meme! This meme is one parts my modified version of the hearts meme, and another part the tl;dr CR meme.

Thom is definitely aware enough to realize that Lilith isn't someone he should piss off (she's like an even more dangerous Scarlett, and Scarlett gave Thom enough troubles back home), but the fact that she didn't totally rip him a new one for knocking her down the stairs once she realized it wasn't actually his fault is a... good sign?

Right??

There's going to be one part of Thom that screams at him to keep his distance from her because of how dangerous she can be, but the understanding she showed him is going to be battling with that so he'll be. Hesitant. But still try to connect with her again anyway.

They should definitely bond over strange genetic powers or something though. Eventually.

Thanks Adam, Thom really appreciates that he decided Thom wasn't a serial killer. Really. But yeah, these two seriously need more cr because they were so great in that test drive way back when and the fact that neither are all that talented at making friends can only work in their favor, obviously.

After all of our talks about these two I absolutely can't wait for their cr to grow, and there's no denying that Thom could benefit really well from an older supportive female presence in his life. Especially since there's not Ruth in this place right now.

And obviously he wouldn't mind having someone a bit more prepared for offensive capabilities since he doesn't have his team and the wendigo event proved he cannot take care of himself at his current abilities.

Mhmm, yeah. Maketh doesn't have much formal experience in commanding people with powers, but she's been winging it since she got here. With some success? We'll see. Plus she likes Thom, and she's very interested in seeing what his powers can do. And the wendigo event has gotten her stuck in a fighting mindset. Must protect community NOW sort of thing.

Just the fact that Maketh has been approaching this whole place from that sort of organized team effort direction so far is kind of reassuring to Thom, honestly. And he can definitely appreciate anyone who's sharing his hopeless hero mindset in this place.

That too. Both of them take a lot of comfort/confidence in the fact that they belong to something, only in Hadriel they don't have that. Maketh's dealing with that by falling back on what she knows, which is organizing the shit out of everything. Thankfully this time it's helpful.

Thom's not totally sure what to think of Peter yet. He didn't seem to have any issue with Thom moving in, and he's proven he's able to take control of a situation which is honestly sort of reassuring. But he makes fun of Thom in a friendly way and he jokes around in a way that Thom's honestly not familiar enough with to be super comfortable. It's gonna lead to him second guessing himself a lot until he gets used to Peter.

He appreciates the positive reaction to his powers, and the concern Peter and Newt both showed after that whole wendigo mess but at the end of the day? You kind of make him nervous, Peter.

There's no denying that Peter is attractive, and Peter's clearly far more aware about that sort of thing than Newt and Thom is terrified of saying the wrong thing or embarrassing himself or just being too obvious. Yeah, Thom could use a hug or hand holding, but for awhile at least that sort of thing is probably going to be received with flinches and awkward avoidance.

Because he's still very much not ready to tackle that particular topic in any sort of conversation.

Congrats on tripping Thom into hopeless crush territory in 2.5 seconds, Newt, that takes real skill. Especially when you weren't trying for that sort of thing at all.

Newt is the first person to get that excited about Thom's abilities, to make the first move to touch Thom himself, and between his earnest interest, exceptional positive reinforcement, and deep concern shown for Thom when he wasn't feeling well (your face didn't exactly hurt the matter any either, Newt) there was basically no hope for Thom at all. And then Newt had to go and invite him to live with him.

Thanks for that Newt, really.

Not that Thom is anywhere near the right sort of mindset right now to do anything more than pine uselessly though. And make a fool of himself at any available opportunity, of course.

He's not going to stop trying to help people though, sorry, but that's kind of his dream. He'll try to be more careful next time. Try.
