The (Modified) Hearts + TL;DR CR Meme!

The (modified) Hearts Meme + The TL;DR CR Meme

Welcome to another combo meme! This meme is one parts my modified version of the hearts meme, and another part the tl;dr CR meme.

  • Comment with your characters.
  • Others comment with appropriate hearts for how their character feels about yours.
  • If desired, ask for tl;dr CR at the same time/instead of hearts!
  • If asked for tl;dr, respond with however much you'd like to write about the CR between the two characters.
  • Profit!
  • Have fun everyone!

  • As a note, remember that you can change the alt text so that the hearts say different things when you hover your mouse over them. Look for title="" in the code you are copy and pasting, and change the text between the quotation marks to whatever you like!

This meme has been modified from it's original format to add more hearts, so be sure to read the descriptions! Also feel free to suggest more heart categories~

yes I am more than up for some good old fashioned tl;dr

Arya really, really, really likes Adam -- and sometimes, that worries her a little. She hasn't had the best track record when it comes to friends surviving, and now that she feels like she and Adam have gotten close, something terrible will happen. She knows Hadriel isn't the safest place, and she's worried about the day when Adam becomes its victim, or leaves forever, and she doesn't always know if she'd be able to handle it. Arya trusts Adam completely now, but that fear has now become the main obstacle for her to get close to him. She doesn't know if she'd be able to put herself together again if she lost someone else. In Arya's canon narration, she'll describe herself as having "lots of holes inside" her, and she doesn't want Adam to be one more hole.

There's also a lot she won't tell Adam, especially about her past. Some of that has to do with what she went through at the House of Black and White -- she's been conditioned not to think of many of her memories as hers, especially the happier ones from when she lived at Winterfell. The conditioning is definitely slipping, but Arya also sees it as the source of most of her power and control over her life, and she's afraid to break with it completely. The memories she does claim aren't the best ones, and she knows that Adam has been though a lot, so he doesn't need to hear about her life. She wants Adam to be happy, and execution stories won't make that happen. Lots of them come packed with guilt, too. Arya has killed a lot of people, and she's worried Adam wouldn't want to be her friend if he knew.

Arya also sees Adam as a person who's obviously gone through a terrible time, but holds himself together pretty well. He's got friends, a house, and a goal that isn't murder or even just day-to-day survival. Arya looks up to Adam a lot because of that, and he gives her a little hope too, that things may not ever be perfect, but she can be okay, at least.

Adam has helped Arya with a lot, as well, and she's incredibly grateful. She's been able to slip back into being a kid with him, but she doesn't feel pressured to do so, either -- because sometimes, she can't force it, and it's exhausting. He's helped her with her identity issues tremendously, by being there and gently coaxing her into talking about it, instead of forcing her to do it at once. Sharing her real name was something that came almost naturally, and is a major step in her healing and understanding what happened to her.

Adam is close to Arya like a brother, and she definitely thinks of him as one. He reminds her of Jon quite a bit -- Jon is also pretty distant to people he doesn't know, and she gets the same outsider vibe from Jon and Adam. That helps Arya trust Adam subconsciously, but sometimes it makes her miss Jon, when she allows herself to remember that she used to have a brother.

tl;dr Adam is one of Arya's favorite people, ever, and she loves him very very much.
