The (Modified) Hearts + TL;DR CR Meme!

The (modified) Hearts Meme + The TL;DR CR Meme

Welcome to another combo meme! This meme is one parts my modified version of the hearts meme, and another part the tl;dr CR meme.

  • Comment with your characters.
  • Others comment with appropriate hearts for how their character feels about yours.
  • If desired, ask for tl;dr CR at the same time/instead of hearts!
  • If asked for tl;dr, respond with however much you'd like to write about the CR between the two characters.
  • Profit!
  • Have fun everyone!

  • As a note, remember that you can change the alt text so that the hearts say different things when you hover your mouse over them. Look for title="" in the code you are copy and pasting, and change the text between the quotation marks to whatever you like!

This meme has been modified from it's original format to add more hearts, so be sure to read the descriptions! Also feel free to suggest more heart categories~

    Hope you don't mind tl;dr

    TW for suicide.

Okay. Uh. Now that she's no longer suffering from the results of unwitting cannibalism, Maketh is feeling incredibly embarrassed about her interactions with Chris. Mostly because she let him see her at a very low moment, which Maketh is going to try and simplify to unprofessional conduct. She acted against protocol and possibly traumatized a civilian, therefore she'd be facing disciplinary actions back home and must make sure that it never happens again for the sake of professionalism. Which, while true on some level, isn't the end of it.

While Maketh is very deliberately not thinking about this, part of why she's so ashamed is that she let her mask crack - and now somebody else knows that she doesn't have her shit together, that's she's not coping with all the changes, and that on some level, she saw killing herself as an acceptable solution to all of this. Even though on the surface it was about keeping people safe and she got one of her allies to actually kill her, there's a part of her that's worried about how quickly she accepted that option. Especially since by the time it happened, she probably could have been dragged to Hope's temple and cured.

And she's let Chris, a civilian, in on this. This is not good, in Maketh's book.

It's still up in the air how she's going to respond to Chris moving forward. She appreciates that he's logical and that he provided clear, concise information in a stressful situation. However, he still reads as civilian in her head - for better or worse - and therefore shouldn't be exposed to all the horrible crap that needs to be dealt with in Hadriel. She'll either avoid him like mad and try to forget the interaction ever happened, or be Extra Professional around him for the foreseeable future. Look, civilian, everything is fine! I'm very useful and there is absolutely nothing to worry about!

That...probably won't work, but nobody ever accused the Empire of developing useful coping mechanisms for their soldiers.

I'd absolutely love to do something with the two of them. Just let me know when :)

Yeah, Maketh still subscribes to the Imperial way of dealing with trauma - which is essentially to ignore it ever happened, or channel it into brutality against the enemy. She's started to break from the philosophy piece by piece, but it's going to take a long time. Deep down, she still believes that her life is only as important as the work she does. So if she can't work then her life is essentially worthless.

The Imperial military is really screwed up at her canon point.

It'll be interesting to see how she deals with his concern, too, since Chris = civilian in her head, and her interactions with non-military people can be, uh, unfortunate. Especially since Chris - and most civilians in general - don't subscribe to the Imperial philosophy, and Maketh has had that drilled into her since she was a kid. Even though she's technically broken ties with the Empire, it's hard to shake a belief system that you've had nearly your entire life.

Her solution to this will be ignoring the problem and then drinking heavily. There will be shots.

Let's plan on doing something then. It ought to be interesting.
