Two quick points here as well:

1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: OOZES GEOMETRICALLY
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

The only warning you may get is the squish slick sound of movement before a gelatinous cube is upon you. Leaving gross trails behind them and with their see-through bodies filled with the bones of those that they've dissolved in their jelly, these cubes have no real vulnerability other than their limited movement.

Gelatinous cubes are exactly what it says on the tin, giant translucent cubes of jelly whose main attack tactic seems to be cornering people in small hallways and just sort of absorbing them into its mass. They then digest all meat and flesh and leave only floating bones and various metals their victim may have been wearing stashed inside of their jiggling forms.

Maybe it's time to apologize for the last time you brought a jelly mold to a potluck.]

SCENARIO TWO: MY LOYAL SERVANTS
[Thanks for your service to the gods! In order to power each of them up, it's up to you to pick a deity you like most (or dislike least, as it were) and simply say their name in order to be influenced by them and encouraged to inspire their emotion in others!

What, you don't want to play? Too bad, accidental name calling works just as well, even if you didn't mean to incite them- you'll feel their presence pulling their chosen emotion out in you anyway. Hope you picked a good one!

SCENARIO THREE: I MISS GPS
[Sure, you might be a little confused at being here at first, but that generally goes away within a few days. This time... well, this time, that feeling of befuddlement isn't quite going away. Roads that you take seem to disappear behind you when you turn around, your right turns are left turns on the map you're following, and you're pretty sure that everyone except for you put their shirt on backwards this morning.

Is everyone high? What they're saying makes absolutely no sense to you. You can't find your way out of a paper bag, let alone back to where you've been staying lately. Is that a dog or is it an eldritch horror coming up to lick at your calves?

During this prompt, everything will feel off and it can be very difficult to get your bearings at all. That's Confusion for you!]

No, it would be safe. It's going to take some work, though. These phones are awfully primitive.
Really? Then we're good. I have a lot of romance novels and some of them are pretty steamy. [and all of them were acquired without her mother's knowledge. it doesn't matter that Tinya's an adult, in her mother's mind she'll always be a little girl. Tinya hates that]

I'll make a list of the steamiest ones for you. "Between Two Worlds" is good. It's about a Titanese nurse who falls in love with a Braalian wounded soldier during the Braal/Titan war.

I'm fifteen. That's an adult where I'm from. [she had to add that last line. she knows it wasn't an adult in her world's past]

What planet is that on? I'm originally from Bgztl, but now I live on Earth. [Metropolis, to be exact. capital of the United Planets and the biggest city on Earth]

[there's a pause in replies]
Daxamite racists. Daxamites have incredible powers under a yellow sun and they were trying to destroy Earth.

[ Hhhhh. Sure, he didn't understand any of the specific names or terms, but the general plot was definitely up Kakashi's alley. It's prime self-insert material.

thanks, but i can't borrow those kinds of things from a kid. [ Different places. Different ideas. But Kakashi definitely considers someone her age a kid. Even though he had done far worse things at that age. ]

[ He's still struggling to understand the variety of places people come from here, but it's difficult to wrap his head around it all. Especially all of the different "Earth"s. ] i haven't heard of the first place, but i've heard of earth. that's where i come from. [ As well as every single other person he has known. ]

[ Looks like other places had their "world-enders" as well. ]

the different earths are throwing her a bit, too. different planets are no problem. different earths? she's never heard of such a thing]
And I've never heard of Konohagakure. Though, if it's hidden I suppose that's why. Bgztl is a planet perfectly aligned with Earth, but it's in another dimension.

if its that then anything is fine. something i can understand without too much backstory. [ He's doing his best to keep a handle on all the references just in their short conversation. Back to square one with his original goal though. ]

so the two planets overlap completely and it's just a matter of which dimension you're in?

I have some Jane Austen novels that should work. They're classics and all you really need to know is that back when they were written, everyone was obsessed with manners. [and she's doing her best to not throw out a lot of 30th century jargon.

That's exactly it! The only difference is that Bgztlians evolved the ability to become intangible and pass between the dimensions. We can't be touched by anything when we do that.

it's very nice. there's been a lot of changes in recent years, but i wouldn't want to live anywhere else. [ He may be a little biased considering he's the leader of the country. ]

you can't be touched by anything in one dimension because your body is in the other one at that time?

[don't worry, she gets it] They're very important. I am the daughter of Bgztl's representative to the United Planets, after all. She went out of her way to drill manners into me, though it didn't always work. [and now she's teasing in return]

Really? What's it like? [she's always curious about other cultures. and it takes her mind off of certain uncomfortable subjects]

Yes, that's it! Can people do that in your home, too? I've never heard of someone not from Bgztl being able to do it.

like the name theres a lot of forests around. the whole country is like that. konoha is the capital so you could find anything you need. trade improved after the war. because it's a hidden village we have the academy and train all the country's shinobi. [ Really his favorite aspects of his home was not the landscape, amenities, or similar things--but the people. ]

no, not anymore. it was rare to begin with. [ The only ones who could perform it died. Or lost the power. ]

id recommend the natural scenery even if you arent interested in that sort of thing. [ And no that isn't the tourism money speaking ] weve had four great wars since the city was founded. shinobi are the military. same thing as a ninja if you know what that is

I'm used to Metropolis. It has its green areas, but it's the largest city on Earth and the capital of the United Planets. Forests sound like a nice change of pace. [but she's not thinking about what happened in that forest clearing just as she came here] I've heard of ninjas, but I thought they were a myth?

Really? I've never experienced any side-effects. Phasing is normal. Reflexive.

in my world, if you used it too often you gradually lost your eyesight. [ he can personally vouch for that bit. ] can you phase here or do you find your powers limited?

It's that every story I've heard about them places them in Earth's distant past, almost two thousand years in the past.

I've never heard of such a thing happening as a result of phasing. [she considers a moment] I haven't noticed any problems.
