Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: GET YOUR RED CAPE READY
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

And they sure are big boys. Big and easily angered and ready to run right over you. This time, the Door has brought in Brontos, from the video game Dragon Age.

Brontos are large oxen-like beasts, though more sure-footed due to spending all their time in caves underground. There are domesticated brontos, bred to haul and be ridden and eaten... but these aren't those. These brontos are wild, one and all, and they are skittish and large and perfectly capable of running you over. Maybe just keep your distance.]

SCENARIO TWO: DESERTED
[You're alone. Completely alone, as far as you can tell. Nothing here works - oh, there's food in the stores, sure, but the water's not running, the electricity isn't working. There's not a soul on the streets, where you would normally expect to see at least a few people here and there.

So what will you do? Smash windows and grab food from the stores? (Well, the doors are all unlocked, but hey, who doesn't love smashing windows.) Shout in the streets in hopes someone will hear? Curl into a ball and cry? All valid choices. But then, what will you do when you do find someone, after thinking you were all alone? Someone you like, someone you hate, a complete stranger?

This is a mini version of our Deserted event this month.]

S O R R O W

SCENARIO THREE: ONE MORE CHANCE
[You can't stop thinking about the one who got away. They've been on your mind - well, it feels like forever, but maybe it's only been a few days. A few hours. But you can't stop thinking about them and regretting what could have been.

Maybe it's a failed romance. Maybe a broken friendship. Maybe a family member who walked away - or who you walked away from. Even a business partner who things ended poorly with. Whatever it was, you regret how things went down. If only you had another chance, a chance to fix things!

And then, there they are. The person you've been thinking of. What will you do? Beg forgiveness? Make amends? Run away? Make your decision and take action, because as soon as you do it you might realize it was never that person at all. You might have just poured out your heart and begged forgiveness from a complete stranger.]

[So less a vacation and more starting a new life on a new planet with no zombies. Maybe also therapy. Well, we've got the no zombies part covered here, at least.]

Tour? Oh, yeah, sure. I can do that. Not really a whole lot else going on today, anyway. I was gonna help out at the lab, buuuut everyone's kind of gone, so my schedule is completely open.

A lab?

[That was to do with studying science or health stuff? Probably? Not that Clementine knew all that much about that sort of thing, given her having only been in school four years or so prior to everything changing with the outbreak. Naturally, her education was mostly since then towards ways to survive all of that. Not so much science and maths and all those other subjects.

She's kind of curious about the tour, about the lab, even if she probably doesn't know nearly enough to help with that sort of thing herself.]

Oh, yeah. There's a science lab. People work on all kinds of stuff there, there's a guy that studies all the monsters that pop up in the colosseum, this little lizard lady is studying the Door. Uh, that's the thing that brought us here, some magic door. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but apparently the Door's supposed to be able to get everyone home. We just have no idea how it works. Or where it is. Or anything, as far as I know.

[Super helpful, right?]

Anyway, yeah. Lab. It's right by the clinic if you wanna take a look.

....Monsters? A Door? Um. Okay. I mean, I guess it's worth checking out. Even if I might not have a clue on this more than anyone else that's been here studying the thing way longer. I mean, studying.....all of this.

[Still. It was worth having a look. Getting a tour so she could figure her way around. Regardless of how often she might end up going to the lab itself or not. At the least she could then figure a map or sorts in getting a feel for this place from someone who has been here longer.]

So lead the way!

A magic door.

[He wiggles his fingers to emphasize just how ~*~magical~*~ it is. It might not even be magic. Who even knows.]

But yeah, lab's this way. Or- no, that way. It's that way.

[And off he goes That Way. It's very exciting.]

Did you really not see any monsters in the colosseum? I heard they always pop up when new people arrive.

Which way? O-okay.

[Does he really know where they're going? She hopes so. Because she has no clue. Not really. Which was kind of the point in getting him to give a tour. She'll....well, not entirely disbelieve the idea of magic, but she isn't entirely believing of it either. At least not yet, considering.]

Well, I was attacked once or twice.

[But she had just initially reacted in taking care of it out of instinct more than anything else to really pay attention to what or who was actually attacking her at the time. Given her situation back home though that...is probably understandable.]

[Don't mind him, it's just been a long day. A long couple of months, really.]

You didn't get hurt or anything, did you?

[Yeaaah the whole 'shoot first, ask questions later' thing is totally understandable considering where she came from.]

I'm fine.

[More or less. She's used to injuries of some type or other since the outbreak. Plus, this place might even have better supplies and facilities than she is used to. Already does considering the shops weren't all relentlessly picked apart for any food or anything valuable or useful. And at least she had managed to find a few things before Peter had shown up and distracted her.]

[She looks okay, so he's not going to start getting into her business about it or anything. Frankly, she seems more capable of taking care of herself than he does, at least as far as not getting busted up by monsters goes. Doesn't help that he picks fights with them on purpose, but y'know.]

Cool. I can show you the clinic for future reference, in that case.

Sure. For future reference then.

[It'd be good to know. Not just for herself but if she comes across someone else in need of medical assistance. Especially if there is one that is stocked, someone there that knows what they are doing. Unlike her to be basically self-taught and working with more limited resources back home.]

[There might not be anyone there right now, considering everyone has up and vanished or something. They might show up again? Peter hopes they show up again.

Anywho, after some walking they come to the lab.]

Oh, so, there's a guy that works here that likes to keep monster chunks in jars and stuff? There's some weird stuff in here, just a heads up.

Uh....what, like he's studying them or something?

[Sure. There were probably some back home trying the same with walkers. She can imagine how that went.....And she isn't sure she likes the idea of it here either. The monsters might be even more of a threat in comparison in some ways, for all she really knows.

Which is why Clementine might be pausing at the entrance to the lab, lips pursed and eyebrow raised.]

Yeah. I don't know if he's trying to find out if they have any weaknesses or if he's just bored, but he's got all kinds of stuff going on in here. Personally, I'm pretty sure he's just bored.

[Peter takes a few steps inside and has a quick look around. Iiiit doesn't look like anyone's around, super.]

Hello? ...Crap.

Just being bored so he's -- really? What other stuff does he have?

[Everyone gets bored sometimes. Not that Clementine has had the luxury of it in years with simply just trying to survive. But still. Others haven't all been through what she has, here. Obviously. So she can't really just jump to conclusions from that. She glances as she follows him in, a couple footsteps inside and behind him.

It's quiet. Too quiet. Which has her on edge, shifting to stand in front of Peter and procuring her pistol at the ready. Just in case.]

I just try to stay out of his way, mostly. He's kind of an oddball.

[He decides to just roll with the gun thing. She had said she'd come from a world with literal zombies, after all. It made sense for someone from a place like that to be ready for a fight at the drop of a hat. His spider-senses weren't going off, though, so as far as he could tell, she wouldn't have to start shooting at anything.]

Uh, there's some busted robots parts and stuff in here too, some lab equipment, some people have some chemistry projects going.

Riiiight.

[A lot of people might be considered oddballs and be pretty harmless, sure. Clementine just isn't sure on her judgement of this guy yet. From what Peter says anyway. Still, she raises an eyebrow at the mention of robots. Perhaps she's just so used to being without technology considering the situation back home, but that sort of things seems almost futuristic to her somehow.]
