Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: GET YOUR RED CAPE READY
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

You don't want to ride them- someone already tried that. Near you is a horselike beast, one without any fur or skin or anything that might make it more palatable. It's a Nuckelavee, a Nordic mythological creature which terrorizes the Northern Isles.

This demonic creature seems to embody that of a man merged with a horse- but not in the cute centaurian way. They are natural swimmers and emerge from the deep to drag their prey down into the water with them- so terrible that even the scent of their breath can sap you of all will to live. Better hold your own breath and look out!]

L O V E

SCENARIO TWO: GET YOU SOME
[You don't know where you are or where you're going- or what you're even doing in this strange city on the ocean- but you do know that you need someone by your side to make it better. Even if you don't know them, even if you hate them, there's something comforting to having another person so close to you.

Closer.

Physical contact with another person seems to put your mind completely at ease, erasing all of your worries and doing better for your mind than a hundred meditation sessions. So it's time to get friendly, even if you're not really that friendly of a person in the first place.

This is a mini version of our A Little Touchy Feely event this month.]

SCENARIO THREE: 15 MINUTES LATE WITH
[Good news! Love has decided that since other liquids seem to be all the rage amongst you humans and they somehow learned about Earth agricultural crops, they've decided to open up a coffee shop!

Here's the space to live out all of your coffee shop AUs in a Hadriel setting! With a storm brewing over the island and a merry pink glowcloud somehow creating caffeinated drinks on the spot when you order them, get ready to tuck in and get nice and cozy for a few minutes.

But uh-oh! Your name is misspelled! Or it's someone else's name entirely, but it's your drink. Or something about your order is wrong- whatever the case, Confusion definitely wouldn't just stand around and let Love have their fun. Somehow, everything is wrong in this poor coffeeshop... what are you going to do about it?]

I've no doubt. There seem to be plenty of tight spaces to crawl in to, and new corners all over to mark.

[Alas, the Dog doesn't know him well enough to offer to allow him to sniff said places after the fact. At the moment, it's a right reserved to her former Mistress.]

We had a lot more trees to pee on but they got cut down to build boats.

If you want something to eat there's lots of weird canned things in the stores if you want to be adventurous and try something that might turn out to be horrific like fish and apple stew.

Rocks, corners, slow cats...

[She's not picky. Unless it comes to cats. Then there's just the one.

The Dog doesn't need food to survive, in any sense of the word. It doesn't stop her from begging off of her Mistress, but it isn't a necessity of life for her. It's just more fun than not.]

I do enjoy a good adventure. Something to look forward too.

Haven't seen any cats. You'll have to content yourself chasing leafs. This is basically doggy hell.

And you're going to have to do a lot of explaining to most people about why you can talk. Or get better at your woofs.

[Not that the Dog is surprised about the lack of cats, or rather a certain cat. Mogget would have been fairly noticeable, in any form that he took. Her ears flatten a little, huffing.]

[When she wants to be... Likely don't want to hear her true bark. Might just find yourself going for a walk you didn't intend to take.]

Anyway, you would need to speak to my Mistress about the talking.

[She will stick with that story.]

Sure. Dig all you want.

[ He shrugs, he wouldn't be surprised if he was far enough gone to be seeing things like talking dogs. He'd thought he was getting better, but... Who knows at this point. ]

Hmph. Well, then I think you're the hallucination.

[How do you like being called not real?]

I probably am. I'm basically dead anyway.

Maybe you're the talking dog that can see dead people.

[ How about them apples?]

Of course I can see dead people.

[Matter of factly, thank you very much. She comes and goes as she pleases between life and death, although she'll likely be trotting around in death for some time, or supposed to be. Her story with her mistress is done.]

I also see living people. Although we're not in death. Not wet enough.

Because you're here after the storm, we had plenty of flooding recently.

[ He's just rolling with it. Sure, why wouldn't death be watery? Sounds plausible. ]

If you can see both living people and dead people then how do you tell the difference?

[One pointed ear twitches a little. That is fairly obvious, isn't it? Well, for her, anyway.]

All ways lead to the Ninth Gate.

[And those ill-prepared will find it to be a one way ticket. Thankfully, the Dog tends to be prepared, expect for here, but in her defence, this isn't Death.]

Mostly because the dead are on one side and the living another, although you get those tricky ones that either escape death, or are summoned back out...

Of course. Because that makes perfect sense.

[She is not familiar with that term at all... Although it will likely make sense once she knows what it is.]

Dead people who walk around eating other people.

Like... animated corpses I guess. They're not actually people anymore.

[Because then yes, dead hands, among other creatures, are indeed real.]

Sometimes I guess.

In some movies it's more like a disease, some sort of parasite.

[He is not prepared to explain what a movie is to a dog. ]

No movies where you come from? Though I'm not sure dogs can see them anyway, I think animals can't see two dimensional stuff. Though it was Hurk who said that so it's probably a lie.

So they're uh.. moving. pictures. of fictional stuff.. Like plays? I guess.

[Dogs might not be able to but the Dog has no issues with these things. Of course the fact that she isn't actually an animal may help. Those pointy ears twitch a little, side to side.]

I've read plays, but never seen a play played. That sounds like an adventure.

Not really, you just sit there and watch it.

You don't like to watch it? It seems like reading a book, but with no words and your imagination playing before you.

But it's not really an adventure. Good way to kill a few hours though.
