Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: GET YOUR RED CAPE READY
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

You don't want to ride them- someone already tried that. Near you is a horselike beast, one without any fur or skin or anything that might make it more palatable. It's a Nuckelavee, a Nordic mythological creature which terrorizes the Northern Isles.

This demonic creature seems to embody that of a man merged with a horse- but not in the cute centaurian way. They are natural swimmers and emerge from the deep to drag their prey down into the water with them- so terrible that even the scent of their breath can sap you of all will to live. Better hold your own breath and look out!]

L O V E

SCENARIO TWO: GET YOU SOME
[You don't know where you are or where you're going- or what you're even doing in this strange city on the ocean- but you do know that you need someone by your side to make it better. Even if you don't know them, even if you hate them, there's something comforting to having another person so close to you.

Closer.

Physical contact with another person seems to put your mind completely at ease, erasing all of your worries and doing better for your mind than a hundred meditation sessions. So it's time to get friendly, even if you're not really that friendly of a person in the first place.

This is a mini version of our A Little Touchy Feely event this month.]

SCENARIO THREE: 15 MINUTES LATE WITH
[Good news! Love has decided that since other liquids seem to be all the rage amongst you humans and they somehow learned about Earth agricultural crops, they've decided to open up a coffee shop!

Here's the space to live out all of your coffee shop AUs in a Hadriel setting! With a storm brewing over the island and a merry pink glowcloud somehow creating caffeinated drinks on the spot when you order them, get ready to tuck in and get nice and cozy for a few minutes.

But uh-oh! Your name is misspelled! Or it's someone else's name entirely, but it's your drink. Or something about your order is wrong- whatever the case, Confusion definitely wouldn't just stand around and let Love have their fun. Somehow, everything is wrong in this poor coffeeshop... what are you going to do about it?]

Walking.

[ You speak softly, as always, and bright and cheerful. Answering as if you need no other explanation, and you don't really think you do. You were right! You're so happy you were right, and it was someone you knew. Not that meeting new friends by randomly grabbing their hand is bad, but it's nice to be in familiar company now and then. Especially in strange places.

But at her question, you shake your head and smile brighter, giving her hand a small squeeze. ]

No, not really. But can we hang out?

[ You don't need anything, but that doesn't mean you have to let go of her hand. In fact, you're more than happy to walk alongside her, tagging along to wherever she may be headed.

And because you remember. You remember what happens when Alphys is alone, when you leave her to her own downward spiraling thoughts. You don't know if it's bad here, or if she's better, or if being here's made it worse, but you're filled with even more determination to make sure regardless of everything, your friends will be happy. ]

[She can't help but smile back- it's infectious. Between the hand holding and the grin, it's impossible for her to be really down about anything. At their question, she nods, keeping their hand in hers.]

Of course! I'm just, uh, g-going to the Lab for a bit. I was hoping to poke around with some stuff, uh-- if that's not any trouble for you.

[She has no idea what they were doing or looking for before they found her. Maybe it was nothing. Maybe they were just hoping for some company. Either or, it's fine by her.]

Or I can come with you to wherever you were going. Uhm, if that's better.

[ You happily shake your head, holding onto her hand a little tighter and moving a little closer. You don't really have a very good concept of personal space, and if someone's unsure about something, closeness and comfort helps, right? Right. ]

I'm coming with you, so let's go to the lab. What are you working on?

[ Because caring about others activities is what friends do. And even if it wasn't, you're always curious what Alphys is working on, even if it's something nerdy and anime related. Especially if it's nerdy and anime related.

Because you just couldn't do it. You couldn't tell Undyne anime wasn't real. After Alphys had left, you ran with the lie because you just couldn't bring yourself to remove that massive shark grin. And because you're pretty sure once on the surface, she'd find a way to make anime real, if she had any say in it. You have faith in your friends, even when it involves things that are probably illegal. ]

[Hugs absolutely help. That's the Monster Way. If you're down about something, there just aren't enough people aggressively caring about you, or something. Physical touch is important, especially for someone like Alphys, who tends to self-isolate even without meaning to now. Thankfully she's no longer the only Royal Scientist. It makes stuff like this easier.]

Well, uh, I've b-been drawing up some schematics of all the robots in the city? Or well, the ones who've come to me for help in the past. I'm trying to get some data about them, so, uhm, they can be fixed easier in the future.

[Maybe not as interesting as they were hoping for. As much as she still watches the few shows she has here, Alphys tries to do her job... kind of? Kind of. It's easier to do her job here when it involves directly helping people.]

It's k-kind of slow going, though.
