Welcome to Hadriel's test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open January 24th, and apps are open February 1st. Please remember that there is an app cap of 20 apps.

Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: SLURP SLURP
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

What's that on the ceiling? Who's that skittering along the wall? Why, it's none other than the the Licker, from the Resident Evil series.

The licker crawls around on walls and ceilings and can easily avoid all attacks with their creepy crawly acrobatics. Watch out for those tongues, though- they can whip you with them and catch you off balance. They love waiting in dark corners to jump at you and slash you with their oversized claws, as seen here. Luckily, their brains are exposed and they're quite blind- move quietly and avoid their notice, or attack them in their weak spot to get away safely. Be careful though, they tend to travel in packs...]

T R A N Q U I L I T Y

SCENARIO TWO: CABIN IN THE WOODS
[It's nice outside. There's a heat to the air that permeates through the muggy interior of the cabin, but at night, it's cool enough that you can relax and see all the stars in the sky. The hot tub is a nice contrast to the chilly night air and the possibilities are practically limitless!

So cook something up on the grill, go hunting, or just relax and definitely don't get murdered, because you do happen to have a bit of an odd cabin mate. Why are the two of you sharing this cabin? Well, that's up for you to decide, but whether you're close friends who decided to take a vacation together or random strangers stuck together by circumstances, you're here for awhile so you might as well take the time to relax and get to know one another up here in these mountains!]

SCENARIO THREE: MONSTER HOUSE
[It seems like you've just misplaced a few items at first- but after awhile, it becomes apparent that the items are misplacing themselves. Weird, right?

Maybe not that weird, because soon afterward, items of all shames and sizes start to move around, now well within sight. Their intent is clearly to annoy or even harm you, depending on how dangerous the item is... maybe a deathly pair of pants, to a set of keys that keeps running away from you, to a house consumed with the desire to- well, consume you.

Be careful of everything, be suspicious of items that may be trying to lure you in with their stillness, and have fun! This event is based on Hadriel's It's Aliiiive! event this month.]

[A union? There was a faint hint of familiarity, but nothing more than that. Perhaps unions had been mentioned in one of the old, old books in the castle library, but Aqua was very sure they had never been mentioned in the Master's teachings. Why would they, with so few wielders in existence as it was?

The rest of Invi's words were even more perplexing, leaving a sinking feeling in Aqua's chest. If she was a Master as well, then she was owed respect until she proved herself unworthy of it, but if she was a Master, how could she know so little?]

I'm Master Aqua. My title was given to me by my Master after I proved myself, as he was named Master by his after he showed the mark. As the tradition has been carried out for many, many generations.

[It's not something that would have occurred to her before, but after her experiences in the dark realm and re-meeting two boys she'd last known as children here, she has to wonder.]

When are you from?

[Invi crosses her arms at Aqua's words, clearly not impressed with her, or her master. It does catch her attention, however, that she uses the word when, and not where (though this woman already knows that). Again, her eyes narrow behind the mask, and she purses her lips once more.]

I come from a time where there are many wielders, thousands of them, each belonging to one of the five unions. [She replies, slowly. If what this woman is implying is true, then she can only wonder how it is possible.]

[That settles it. Aqua doesn't claim to know every world in the World, nor every wielder, but if Keybearers were as widespread as this woman claims, she would know of it. Rather, she would know of it if they were from the same time.]

I've been told...that this world has the power to draw people in from many points in time, even if they come from the same place. I was never sure I believed that to be true, but... [She shakes her head.] In the time I come from, there are few people who still wield the Keyblade. Five, at most. And one of them doesn't deserve to.

[.... So it is true, then. She brings a hand to her chin, but this time, her body language reads more apologetic than anything. A handful of keybearers, even less than Ava's dandelions... What happened to them?

For their number to be reduced to simply five... It's unnerving.]

My apologies. I had no idea. I'm sorry for speaking ill of your Master like that. [Is what she settles on first, but then she continues, softer.] I'm also sorry we were unable to avert that tragedy, too. To think you would be left in such dire straits...

[Her words seem to have done the trick, but Aqua can't say that she's happy about it. So many wielders, all gone now...what must it have been like, when so many wandered the worlds? Would Xehanort ever have come to be what he is?]

Thank you. [She won't hold a grudge.] What you described...it sounds incredible. But all my training was alongside my friends, Terra and Ventus. No one else.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm.. still not sure why there's so few of you. I know for a fact that there are still well over a dozen wielders who would have been able to avoid partaking in the Keyblade War.

[What happened to them? Ava's Dandelions, reduced to what Invi assumes to only be four...

And what of the book? Surely Ava would have passed that down as well. But what good would it have done after the war?]

[Aqua looks up sharply at that.]

I'm sorry—did you just say the Keyblade War?

Yes? I assumed you knew of it, if you're from so far after my time.

[That.. surely hasn't been lost to history, but now, there's no need to hide the events that she knows will unfold, is there? Not if this woman already knows of them.]

I know of it.

[She speaks of it so calmly, as if it's another note on the calendar and not a momentous calamity.]

But that was a long, long time ago. Almost more legend than history.

I am before those events have occurred, but my master wrote of them happening. All of us heads of the union... We had a copy of what he called the Book of Prophecies. [But... it didn't extend past the keyblade war.] We did what we could to try and stop it, in the end, the Master was right. Five people cannot save the world alone.

[Aqua wants to argue, but three hadn't been enough to save one world, had it? Not really.]

I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you more about what happened. But not even the oldest books in the castle library go back that far.
