Test Drive Meme # 1

Welcome to Hadriel's very first test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open September 24th, and Apps are open October 1st.

Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: ANYONE GOT A LIGHT?
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

Watch out as you explore the streets of Hadriel, because you're not alone, and there's always something on the rooftops watching and waiting for the perfect opportunity to separate you from your group and tear you into pieces. In this instance, the door has managed to grab something truly horrific, and it's definitely out for blood (and brains) tonight.

Smokers are enemies in the video game series Left 4 Dead, who use their prehensile tongues to capture unwitting people and either drag them away for consumption or hang them up to strangle them. With all of the activity of characters trying to find out what's going on and where they are, there are more than a few of them, lingering in the shadows and waiting to try strike at anyone who may be lagging behind.]

SCENARIO TWO: YOUR HEART WILL GO ON
[You awaken in a windowless room, the walls strangely curved. The door, when you try it, is quite firmly locked. No amount of force is able to break through, so it seems to be sealed by supernatural means. Next to the door stands a slender pedestal, about as big around as a large man's thigh. At the top of the pedestal is a indentation, as if something were meant to go there.

But you're not alone in this room. There are two things with you: a person and a corpse. Pinned to the body is a note: Place a heart on the pedestal to leave. Tucked neatly into the corpse's pocket is a letter opener, small and not particularly sharp.

Did you have weapons or tools on you before? You don't now. But look at it this way: what better form of bonding is there than helping a friend or stranger dig a heart out of a corpse with nothing but a letter opener and your bare hands?]

H O P E

SCENARIO THREE: HAVE YOU HAD YOUR BREAK-IN TODAY?
[You're standing outside a storefront, colored glass set into intricate designs. It's beautiful, artistic, but more importantly - there's definitely food inside. Good food, too, by the glimpses you can see through the window. In fact - wait a minute - isn't that your favorite dish in there, just waiting for you? You've been searching for food for hours, it seems, and the city is bare. Your tummy is getting awful rumbly. What luck!

You try the door. Cruelly, it is locked. The food taunts you, just out of reach.

The glass is lovely, intricate, but it's just glass. Or maybe you know how to pick locks. Or maybe there's a back way in. Or maybe some passing friend will be able to help you. There's a lot of options here, if what you really want is a mouthful of the finest... whatever it is you like.]

Levy McGarden | Fairy Tail

[1 - corpse]

This is terrible. None of this makes any sense at all. She doesn't even remember how she got here and now, now there's a body. A dead body next to her. The young Fairy Tail magician places a hand over her mouth. It's just too terrible and her stomach lurches a little.

She can't just sit and cry though. No. She has to be better than that. Stronger than that. She can't let her disgust stop her from thinking things through. What's needed now is a clear mind. There has to be clues somewhere.

The letter and the pedestal.

The small young woman turned to look at the other person in the room. There's a small smile on her face. She has an idea. But it might not work. All she can do is try her hardest and hope for the best.

"If you could, you should stand by the door. We might only get one shot at this. And we won't even have to cut that poor body up."

But stealing is wrong....
[The scene before you. A small blue haired girl with her hands pressed against the glass. There's a small frown on her face. That frown grows deeper as the growl of her stomach grow louder.]

Oh. That looks so good... I'm sure I could just... No. No I really shouldn't.

[She turns her back to the window and tries to ignore her stomach.]

[This whole place is pretty strange, but Inigo's going about things with his usual panache. Well, he's screaming on the inside, sure, and starting to get pretty hungry, but - more important, look at that cute girl!

He changes trajectory, heading straight for her. Some things are more important than exploring, and hey, is that food in that building? He manfully ignores his growling stomach.]

Ah, a fair maiden in trouble, my specialty! You've enslaved me with your beauty, perhaps there's some way I could be of service to you?

[What? Whaaaaat? Okay, so Levy actually looks around for other girls because she's not used to that sort of talk at all. Not directed at her anyway. But she's the only one here so that means this guy is talking to her. Which means a lot of awkwardness. How do you even respond to the type of grandiose speech she only sees in trashy love novels she swears she doesn't read]

Me? I'm really not in any trouble.

[Her stomach loudly says otherwise. How embarassing]

It's just that looks so good in there, but I don't have any money. Also, it's not open yet. So... I'm waiting for the shop owner to come and open.

[Yeah. She's new here and doesn't know there is no store owner]

[He looks around them, at the rubble on the streets, the lack of pedestrians - well, aside from them.]

I'm not entirely sure there is a shop owner. At least, not anymore.

[Not that Inigo would mind spending time with a pretty girl waiting for a nonexistent person to appear, but who knows what else might be out there? There were monsters earlier. They could show up again at any moment.]

Is the door locked? Maybe we can just walk in.

corpse!

Kanda honestly didn't expect to find himself waking up in a room with a corpse and a child. He's silently eyeing her, easily placing the disturbed look on her face.

He's silently getting to his feet and taking a survey of the room himself, noting the piece of paper attached to the corpse and the pedestal. It wasn't hard to figure out that the corpse, in some shape or form, was to be used for their escape.

It was just a body though. Cutting it open would be messy, but he seems to be missing his sword as well. Nothing viable seemed to be of use in the room either.

When she speaks though, Kanda's glancing over at her with a curious brow raise. Not to mention the skepticism in his eyes as he's watching.

"What are you planning to do, kid?"
