He is a tiny little thing! He can turn into a full sized Jeep, though.

Maybe Hakuryuu can be flying down the stairs excitedly and Hakkai is chasing after him and they run into each other like that because of the loud "Kyuuu! Kyuuuu!" noises that might get his attention.
