Character Name: Nick Valentine
Canon: Fallout

About Them: He's a robot detective from a post-apocalyptic world who is all about some justice. He's on the Guard and has recently cut back on his patrolling because he's a family man now, so he spends most of his time at the Guard Headquarters these days.
Notable CR: He lives with Rey, and spends time with the other Guard members, helping out where he can. He's also on good terms with Dr. Gottlieb and still drops by the dam on occasion.
Current Plans: He's currently taking a few days to recover from having his arm ripped off and some of his more crucial mechanisms damaged in the process, but when he's back up and running (i.e. when his roommate gets him back up and running), he's going to be on the hunt for Mello. The Guard has a reputation to keep, justice to serve, and people to help. He's also slowly, but surely working his way toward getting people to hack his brain and look into some memories he forgot. Oh yes.
CR you're looking for: Nothing in particular at the moment! I still need to hit up some folks on the intro log. :>

I know Nick checks the network, so if he wants to try to talk to Near about Mello, I'm game for it. Near just. Will be very unhelpful.

Sounds good! I need to have him hit up Near at some point, since he does keep a close eye on the network. Detectivebot has to have something to do in all that spare time he has from not sleeping and not eating.

Near knows all about the not sleeping and eating things. Except he is a human who actually needs to do them. (Near, this is why you have dark circles under your eyes and weigh less than 90 pounds. Please take better care of yourself.)

Maketh is going to be absolutely horrified once she finds out what happened to his arm. And she will find out whether Nick tells her or not. But either way she'll want to scheme with him because her guardsmen cannot be breaking!

I have been laughing with Rev because it hasn't even been a week since he last saw Maketh and was, like, "Hey, I'm going to take it easier on the old joints. :) :) :)"

She will so find out, though. He'd call her to say he's having technical difficulties, but the hand that's left doesn't work so well with the phone. She'd probably notice he doesn't drop in for his shifts and all that paperwork he was doing, though.

And then she'll track him down in a huff because nope. No sir. Though she may also stop to ask for some advice at the same time because Feelings are happening and she really does not know how to deal with them. Nick knows how to deal with those, right?

But seriously, I have been meaning to hit you up at some point, and every time a chance comes around, I go out of town or get swamped or something. But man, do I want CR so bad. Nick is supposed to stop by the nerd complex Dr. Gottlieb's at some point, so maybe they can run into each other in the neighborhood when we get that set up.

About Them: A shut-in of a cleric who comes from a ridiculous fantasy world (and has already done some world-hopping à la CRAU), Carlisle is a whiny bookworm who would much rather be left alone most of the time, but that means being alone with his guilt-ridden thoughts. He's afraid of a lot of stuff and wants to be of use to people -- at least enough to where his death with have some meaning -- but he doesn't have enough gumption to actually put himself out there most days. When he's not wracked with his own nerves, he can be very chatty and relatively friendly. Just don't ask him to actually be friends. He's not sure how.

As for appearances, he always has a, ink-stained bandage covering his right arm because his glove got ruined. :(
Notable CR: HahahahahahHAHAHAHAHA (he can very rarely be caught maybe visiting Miriam and Barnaby, and he keeps in contact with Kate, his neighbor).
Current Plans: Oath-bound and determined to make himself of some use, he's working with Kate to make healing trinkets that will allow him to technically help out at the clinic without having to actually go there. Neato! He's also working on notes about plant life from back home to give to Sorrow so he can start up some alchemy.
CR you're looking for: Nothing comes to mind! He tends to get along best with people who can put up with him and don't mind steamrolling him a little bit. He's out of his element here, and ends up overthinking everything he does with left to his own devices.

No worries on slowness! I'm stoked for the CR, especially since Carlisle can be of used to Shadow. He is a good healer and has a few other nice skills after all.



But seriously, if Shadow just shows up in his apartment unannounced, I will laugh so hard. :>
