Mello winds up leaving all kinds of openings because he's emotionally done with this shit, waits for Near to exploit them . . . Nothing happens. This is fine. Not suspicious in the least. No, Near isn't in his room screwing the heads back on the toys he totally didn't break after Mello died. Nope.
