Welcome to Hadriel's test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open July 25th, and apps are open August 1st.

Two quick points here as well:

1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R

SCENARIO ONE: WORKING TITLE
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

Watch out as you explore the streets of Hadriel, because you're not alone, and there's always something lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect chance to swarm around you and chow down. This time, the Door has brought in a few Working Joes, from the Alien: Isolation video game series.

Once simply androids meant for mundane jobs, working Joes have had their programming altered to isolate and eliminate threats onboard their ship- which they now believe to be Hadriel. Super strong, yet slow and plodding, an android may ask you for identification before throttling you when you don't have the right answer. They are quite sturdy and difficult to destroy without the right tools. Have fun!]


H O P E

SCENARIO TWO: BEAUTIFICATION DUTY
[The city has always looked a little drab, but now with some tools from Hope, it's up to you guys to spruce it up a bit! Your character will find themselves in a shop filled with various paints, home improvement tools, window stickers, streamers, and various other items and tools used to improve the appearance of the neighborhood.

You're encouraged to add your own little flair to the project in order to improve living standards and make Hope the happiest god in the pantheon. So, what will you do? Paint a mural? Sweep up some rubble? Install a skylight! The cave is your oyster.

This is a mini version of our Extinction v2 event this month!]

SCENARIO THREE: CRY ME A RIVER
[When you wake up in the morning, something feels... off. It feels like you just watched 20 ASPCA commercials in a row and then topped it all off with the first ten minutes of Up. You're beaten down, depressed, upset by all the horrific acts and trauma in the world, and it's enough to make you want to cry.

Turn on the waterworks, because Hadriel is about to have a shortage of tissues and everyone's getting dehydrated. You might run into your neighbor crying while you're scavenging for food, or you might just find that one whole asshole in the entire movie who isn't affected.

Either way, it's time to get some hugs, some kleenex, and maybe a little bit of chocolate. Happy... crying?]

[It's good to know humans aren't as bad as goblins. Wait what.]

[Haleek snaps her teeth, pleased. Most of the humans she's met have either run away screaming or started yelling at some point. This one is easier. He's almost sensible.]

I want to go home. Or fight to please my ancestors. You will help me do that.

[turbulentwind]

[He's still a little scared, but his desire to meet and befriend new people will outweigh fear most of the time. If only she could see the big smile on his face.]

Not sure how much help I can be, but all right! Work towards a common goal and all.

[manaburn]

You can see, can't you?

[That's all he needs to do, in Haleek's mind. Be her eyes. She can do the rest. She grunts, knuckling Cloud Song's head again. The wolf grumbles.] And you can fight. So you say.

[turbulentwind]

Yes, I can both see and fight!

Just tell me what you need and I'll take it from there.

[And note to self: don't get her angry. He might become wolf chow if he's not careful.]

[manaburn]

[Haleek nods curtly.] You tell me what needs to die, how big it is, and how far away it is. From me, not from you. And if I am going to walk into something.

[turbulentwind]

[He's kind of apprehensive about telling her what needs to die, but the rest doesn't sound too unreasonable.]

Leave it to me.

[He does a standing flip and goes into a stance.]

[manaburn]

I will not burn you.

[Probably. Her aim is usually better than that. It feels like she ought to say that, though. Just in case.]

[turbulentwind]

I hope not. I've faced enough fire users to last me a lifetime.

[Unless she blows fire out of her mouth too...]

[manaburn]

[Welp. She does. Don't stand too close?] Your world has fire magic?

[turbulentwind]

[Uh oh.]

Not fire magic. Just a couple of guys who can use fire through their respective martial arts. One could even stretch his body to amazing lengths!

[manaburn]

[Haleek huffs suspiciously.] How did he make fire without mana or asking the spirits?

[turbulentwind]

Wish I could tell you.

I think they know something I don't. I can do wind, but fire's beyond my pay grade.

[manaburn]

[So it does not use mana? Haleek supposes that it could be similiar to the techniques used by the monks she's known. She takes a deep breath, gathers mana in her lungs, and then exhales sharply.

A small puff of fire escapes.

She coughs, clearing her throat.] Like that?

[turbulentwind]

[Rashid jumps back at the exhaled flame. Looks like Dhalsim isn't the only fire-breather in his life anymore.]

Whoa! Y-yeah, kind of like that.

[manaburn]

[Haleek nods, giving Cloud Song's harness a tug. The wolf growls, then shifts into position so she can jump into the saddle.] I can do that. And more. Lots more. You are my eyes now.

[turbulentwind]

[He can only imagine what kind of power she has. And he has a pretty damn big imagination.]

Y-yes ma'am! I, Rashid of the turbulent wind, shall be your eyes for however long you need them!

[How's that for a hero's declaration? Good? Okay? Needs work?]

[manaburn]

[The ancestors must be disappointed in her now, Haleek thinks. Working alongside a human! But her enemies are treacherous, and thus far this one has been--respectful. To a certain extent. She grins, baring her teeth in his direction.] Make your ancestors proud, human.

[Will they get to burn something? She really wants to burn something.]
