Yes, I'm aware, but birds can be particularly dangerous. They've got those sharp beaks, and little talons that scratch and tear at your clothes, and may the goddess forgive you if you get anywhere close to a nest.

I know it sounds terrible, but bloodworts make for excellent pies.

I only know how to make one, admittedly. But it serves its purpose.

Salt, shortening, flour, and water. Mix it together, flatten it out, line the bowl with it.

For what it's worth, bloodwort does make for nice pies. I'm just not very skilled at making them myself. Too much mess.
