how it works:
i. post a comment with the characters you play.
ii. go around and prompt other players with a 5 + 1 prompt (e.g. "Five times Hope said sorry and one time he didn't")
iii. write a fic for the prompts people leave you!
iv. enjoy your fic? we hope?

:D
Maketh wakes up with a pounding headache and the impression of Henry's couch rendered across her face. They've come to an understanding. All it took was a bottle of whiskey and some nightmarish honesty.
What a night, she thinks, and goes to make coffee.
2.
The older cadets are dancing around her, laughing, their uniforms disheveled and half gone with the pounding music. One of them takes her hand and spins her close, a girl with wide, laughing eyes.
"Drink!" the girl insists, passing Maketh a glass.
They dance all night. This is the first time she falls in love.
3.
There's whiskey and a glass with a crack going up the side, all of it stuffed into a metal shipping crate and packed with rags. It's not a war, but people still die. Maketh stares at the box, not sure what to do with it.
"What's that?" Itani wonders.
"From my parents."
"Oh? What's the occasion?"
"They're dead," Maketh says, testing the words out. She hasn't cried yet. It will be years before she does. "Do you want to try some? There's only one glass, but that's all right. We can share."
4.
"Congratulations," she tells the Inquisitor, making herself smile and tasting ash in her throat. "On your promotion."
He smiles at her, shark teeth gleaming with blood. "You honor me, minister. If it weren't for your orders, I would not have risen. And we must all reach high, mustn't we?"
"Of course," she murmurs, and takes a drink.
5.
This will make it better, Maketh thinks, staring at the bottle with its shining blue glass. This will fix it. The issue has been left to fester for too long and must be bled, lest it infect the rest of her working life. Lilith is a resource, one too powerful to be left unused, and if her cooperation rests on a repairing a--relationship, such as it is--then Maketh will do what needs to be done.
Everyone likes alcholoh, she thinks. It's an appropriate gift.
(it's not. but they do understand each other in the end)
