how it works:
i. post a comment with the characters you play.
ii. go around and prompt other players with a 5 + 1 prompt (e.g. "Five times Hope said sorry and one time he didn't")
iii. write a fic for the prompts people leave you!
iv. enjoy your fic? we hope?

i.
She's four years old when a car crash kills her parents, too young to understand death but old enough to understand that the space they occupied will never be filled in the same way again, even though Gran and Gramps love her with all they are.
ii.
"Come here, Faithy-bird," says Gran, scooping up six-year-old Faith and holding her against her chest. "Just a dream, yeh? You're safe, love."
"Is Gramps going to die on his fishing trip?"
Faith watches, sniffling but still, as Gran's eyes light up with the use of her sight.
"No," answers Gran, voice low and gentle. "He'll come back with a good catch that'll stink up the house for a week."
Faith blinks away the last of the tears the nightmare gave her.
iii.
She sets the shed on fire by accident at seven years old, and she knows exactly what that means.
There's a creek on the edge of the yard, so she goes there and dips her hands in the cold water, to see if she can't dampen the fire in her veins.
iv.
Gramps cuts his palm when he's making a new trinket, a deep slice that bleeds enough he'll need to have stitches. Before he can get up, Faith grabs his wrist and heals him, biting her cheeks as her own skin splits open. She keeps it together until she's in her room, lying flat on her back as the regeneration starts to work in earnest. It tired her out too much to do more than shed silent tears.
v.
Agency training is intense but doable. It's the missions themselves that are hard.
The first time she locks eyes with a Creature she's about to kill is the first time she can't sleep the following night, crying ad the Creature's family might have for their fallen relative if they'd survived the attack.
+i.
At the remembrance service, Faith is quiet and strong, someone everyone else can lean on. She'll catch their tears in her hand, and they'll become hers too, precious and heartfelt, a tiny fragment of the bonds that'll keep them together forever.
