Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: FRACTURED FUTURE?
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

This time, the Door has decided to bring in some monsters who already have a taste of what it's like to win their war. Welcome to the Risen, from the Fire Emblem franchise!

Risen are reanimated corpses, dedicated to obeying their master's will. While they have some form of sentience, they cannot be dissuaded from their goal and attack all who oppose them with a singleminded desire to execute their purpose, which unfortunately for you is "killing indiscriminately". Still, they're not all bad and some of them may even be relieved to finally be put to death. Have fun!]

T R A N Q U I L I T Y

SCENARIO TWO: ONLY THE GOOD STUFF
[Tranquility has decided to take over Hope's food supply regimen and- well, if anyone thought he was a self righteous hipster before, this is probably what's going to seal the deal. All the food provided in the shops is now extremely vegan-only, from basic lettuce to the most bland fruit you can stand to look at.

None of it even tastes like anything, either- it's all like you're eating water. Maybe to Tranquility, this is a feast, but for you, it's difficult to register that you're even full. Better start prepping those salt mines- it's gonna be a long month.]

SCENARIO THREE: YANDERE LIFE
[Unfortunately for you, you came at a time when Rage was very unhappy with everyone- and now you get to suffer for it. Is there anyone who catches your eye? Anyone who you might want to get to know a little better? Well, you're about to get to know them a lot better, because now you're obsessed with them.

It's not the innocent kind of obsession, either- this is a full speed ahead, breakdown, pull out the knives and rope kind of obsession, where your desire to be near someone is synonymous with stalking, being a creep, and overall just not really anything remotely approaching healthy.

Better look out and hope that nobody gets a crush on you either.

This is a mini version of our Kiss me Kill me event this month.]

scenario one;

[ If there's anything good to be said about his current situation, it's the fact that Charles is at least no stranger to finding himself in new-- and less than welcoming-- places. However, this time is shaping up to be a bit different.

Mainly because of the company.

And even though he's been dead for quite a number of years, he's found that it hadn't stopped him from being able to feel pain, from being able to be hurt. So if there's one thing he knows he can do, it's run away.

Maybe you also needed an escape buddy. Maybe he has accidentally ended up in your hiding spot. Maybe you're running towards those creatures, in which case he's stopping (because you're probably getting mauled, and that would be bad) and calling out-- ]

Wait!

scenario two;

[ Well, this is probably his first time food shopping in decades; maybe this is just what food is like now. Even if it's not, it's probably the best way to ease back into having a mortal body that needs food. So while you're trying to find something, anything, worth eating, you might be running into someone who's just picking food like the selection is totally normal. While reaching for what seems to be the last box of the world's answer to "what if saltines were even more bland," he notices someone in the vicinity, pulls his gloved hand back. ]

[ It's been a fairly bland selection of food so far. The "so far" is important; Jin holds on to it like hope, because if this is what the locals eat every single day... It's too fearsome a thought. It is a thought banished from Jin's mind as her eyes rove the shelves over endless brightly-coloured packages that bely the tedium of the food within. Although that rainbow-striped box looks promising... ]

Huh?

[ Nope, she's certainly not considering that box of saltines that may well be made of wax. Jin shakes her head with a polite smile, then picks out her own selection... Alas. She deposits the plain crackers back in their original place with a sigh, and a more dejected shake of her head. Maybe it's time to ask someone else for help by now. ]

Ah, would you know if there's more... [ Jin gestures with a hand, somewhat helplessly ] ...interesting food around here?

[ Condemned to a lifetime of flavorlessness... The gods really would be cruel, in that case.

Either way, Charles will be taking the box he initially reached for (at least someone doesn't seem to mind the bland selection), and giving the kind of helpless shrug that usually means "you're probably out of luck." ]

I think the closest you'll get here is more interesting packaging. Though you might as well be eating that, instead.

[ At the sound of a stranger's voice, Duke's attention is split. His large ears twitch in Charles' direction just before the undead humanoid he was fighting against takes another swing at him. Unable to keep his eyes on two subjects, the chimera whirls back around, hooves pounding the dirt as his claws carve into his attacker's stitched-up face.

Just after he watches the undead dissolve into dust, Duke turns his stormy gaze back to Charles momentarily. He hesitates, unsure at first if he was being addressed to, but gestures to himself with a shrug of his shoulders. after all, this was the first person he had come across since waking that wasn't acting aggressive or zombish. Definitely not zombish. ]

[ Okay, after getting a better look at this guy, now he kind of wonders if he shouldn't have said anything. Not because he just destroyed one of these zombies, but because he is definitely not normal, himself.

Not that there's anything wrong with that... maybe. ]

Ah... never mind, you can ignore that.

[ Yeah. He seems perfectly able to take care of himself, and doesn't need to run away. Unlike Charles, who is much more...human. And whose shows of strength are more or less limited to "ability to lift much smaller people." ]

[ Duke's fluffy ears deflate a bit at the human boy's change of mind. Was it because he wasn't human looking? ]

Are you certain? If iz help you are needing...

[ A thought strikes the horned chimera like a sudden rockslide. He looks between the ash remains and Charles. ]

T-That was not your, euh, friend, was it?

[ What if he was attacking this stranger's friends... or even FORMER friends?! His shoulders skink thinking of all the possibilities. They could be anything. Maybe sacred in some manner and here Duke was just destroying them as if they were weeds! ]

Zut alors...

[ Friend? What about those zombies would even seem friendly? ]

No, not exactly. Not at all, in fact.

[ Oh well. He'll be nice at least, because it's probably a better idea than getting murdered by a horse guy. ]

I was going to warn you, but it seems like you're fine.

[ One can never be too sure. Especially in an unknown place, anything can literally be anything. After hearing what he believes is a sign of those stiched-up face people as not being important to this lad, Duke lets go of that tension.]

Euh, I suppose am fine in some definition.

However, I am a bit lost.

[ He gives their surroundings a good once-over cautiously as he waits in hope that this boy knows where they are or at least can give follow-able directions. ]
