Two quick points here as well:
1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!

Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

SCENARIO ONE: FRACTURED FUTURE?
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.

This time, the Door has decided to bring in some monsters who already have a taste of what it's like to win their war. Welcome to the Risen, from the Fire Emblem franchise!

Risen are reanimated corpses, dedicated to obeying their master's will. While they have some form of sentience, they cannot be dissuaded from their goal and attack all who oppose them with a singleminded desire to execute their purpose, which unfortunately for you is "killing indiscriminately". Still, they're not all bad and some of them may even be relieved to finally be put to death. Have fun!]

T R A N Q U I L I T Y

SCENARIO TWO: ONLY THE GOOD STUFF
[Tranquility has decided to take over Hope's food supply regimen and- well, if anyone thought he was a self righteous hipster before, this is probably what's going to seal the deal. All the food provided in the shops is now extremely vegan-only, from basic lettuce to the most bland fruit you can stand to look at.

None of it even tastes like anything, either- it's all like you're eating water. Maybe to Tranquility, this is a feast, but for you, it's difficult to register that you're even full. Better start prepping those salt mines- it's gonna be a long month.]

SCENARIO THREE: YANDERE LIFE
[Unfortunately for you, you came at a time when Rage was very unhappy with everyone- and now you get to suffer for it. Is there anyone who catches your eye? Anyone who you might want to get to know a little better? Well, you're about to get to know them a lot better, because now you're obsessed with them.

It's not the innocent kind of obsession, either- this is a full speed ahead, breakdown, pull out the knives and rope kind of obsession, where your desire to be near someone is synonymous with stalking, being a creep, and overall just not really anything remotely approaching healthy.

Better look out and hope that nobody gets a crush on you either.

This is a mini version of our Kiss me Kill me event this month.]

( it was like a bad re-run. when akira opened his eyes, he was in a dark room, seated in a chair... with a massive, searing headache. had he been drugged again? pressed a hand against his head, he leaned forward, trying to pick out the last few things he remembered...

had he stumbled into this place unintentionally? this certainly wasn't the home he shared with the other thieves and he had no memory of coming here... the stark white of the light overhead gave him flashbacks to the interrogation room, his mind jumbling together pieces from that time and this one.

squeezing his eyes shut for just a moment, he willed himself to keep it together, breathing deeply to try and get the situation under control. but when he opened them, he had certainly not been expecting to see...

shit. )

Akechi...

[ Um, don't call him a shit? He is The shit, tyvm. ]

You're finally up.

[ The voice that greets him doesn't betray much-- a bit of an irony, considering who it comes from. It's composed if a little too distant, but not enough to be cold, probably because he more or less relates to how Akira is feeling; he doesn't remember much past his face off against the Risen, doesn't remember how he ended up here, and the pain... well, that had followed him all the way from his would-be watery grave. If anyone else from this strange place had added to his wounds, he certainly couldn't tell.

But at least he was back to a more presentable facade, dark suit and helmet replaced by a striped tie and school jacket. It made him feel less vulnerable, somehow. ]

Don't give me that look. I'm just as surprised as you.

[ You know, before any accusations are tossed his way. He's innocent... of that much, at least. ]

( akira will have to stand by that one, sorry.
there's a long look in akechi's direction, his expression remaining as calm and neutral as ever when he finally tears his eyes away to look over the rest of the room. he had no way of knowing what sort of predicament he'd woken up into, but one thing was for certain... if the detective prince was here, then surely it didn't mean anything good for him.

maybe it was best to start with the easy questions first... ) Where...?
( where was this? where had akechi come from? where was the exit? with the one word, he really meant all of these things... all the while knowing he'd likely get an answer to none of them. )

[ Akechi brings a hand to the back of his neck, rolls it around in hopes to lessen the pain-- he couldn't really think with a clear head when that was the only thing in his body that didn't hurt. ]

I don't know. [ It comes surprisingly easy, and with a shocking lot of honesty, too. Whatever Akira had meant, his answer wouldn't change-- and it's quite the blow to his pride to admit it, but it seems like the Phantom Thieves, the world, and probably the universe at large had been particularly good at making a fool of him in a very brief period of time.

There's a more pressing matter in his mind at the moment, though. He leans forward, closer, inspects Akira for any hints of a possible assault, and he almost almost reaches to touch his face. ]

Do you know who did this to you?

[ ... where the hell did that urge even come from and since when does he fucking care? ]

( he freezes at that almost-motion that akechi had made. what was he...? no, he was probably imagining it. after all, it was the detective's job to investiage, he was probably just looking for traces of... something.

certainly not the shattered pieces of what could have been a friendship between them.

finally, there's a shake of his head. ) And you—? ( since it seemed they were in the same predicament, apparently.
it would probably be fine though... right? as long as akechi wasn't armed...

forcing himself to his feet, he does so slowly, so as not to give away any trace of just how disoriented he felt.

though an especially observant fellow might not be fooled. ) There has to be a way out of here.
