Test Drive Meme #29
Welcome to Hadriel's test drive, and thank you again for your interest in the game! As always, our reserves page is here, and our applications page is here! Reserves open February 21st, and apps are open March 1st. Please remember that there is an app cap of 20 apps.
Two quick points here as well:1. Any thread made in Hadriel's test drive will be accepted as the sole Action Log sample in the application.
2. All threads made in the test drive can be considered game canon, either through handwaving or through a shared mental experience while coming through the Door!
Test drives will be broken up into specific god mini-events, during which your characters can see how well they fare under the watchful eye of one of the gods. Choose wisely or just simply pick 'em all, and have fun!

F E A R
SCENARIO ONE: FRACTURED FUTURE?
[The Door brings in all that is chaotic and evil in the world. This may include you, may include the person next to you... and may include the monster behind you.
This time, the Door has decided to bring in some monsters who already have a taste of what it's like to win their war. Welcome to the Risen, from the Fire Emblem franchise!
Risen are reanimated corpses, dedicated to obeying their master's will. While they have some form of sentience, they cannot be dissuaded from their goal and attack all who oppose them with a singleminded desire to execute their purpose, which unfortunately for you is "killing indiscriminately". Still, they're not all bad and some of them may even be relieved to finally be put to death. Have fun!]

SCENARIO TWO: ONLY THE GOOD STUFF
[Tranquility has decided to take over Hope's food supply regimen and- well, if anyone thought he was a self righteous hipster before, this is probably what's going to seal the deal. All the food provided in the shops is now extremely vegan-only, from basic lettuce to the most bland fruit you can stand to look at.
None of it even tastes like anything, either- it's all like you're eating water. Maybe to Tranquility, this is a feast, but for you, it's difficult to register that you're even full. Better start prepping those salt mines- it's gonna be a long month.]

SCENARIO THREE: YANDERE LIFE
[Unfortunately for you, you came at a time when Rage was very unhappy with everyone- and now you get to suffer for it. Is there anyone who catches your eye? Anyone who you might want to get to know a little better? Well, you're about to get to know them a lot better, because now you're obsessed with them.
It's not the innocent kind of obsession, either- this is a full speed ahead, breakdown, pull out the knives and rope kind of obsession, where your desire to be near someone is synonymous with stalking, being a creep, and overall just not really anything remotely approaching healthy.
Better look out and hope that nobody gets a crush on you either.
This is a mini version of our Kiss me Kill me event this month.]

Sonya Blade | Mortal kombat
[She thought the end of the invasion would allow her a respite; allow her to mourn for the fallen and help regroup and rebuild. The war was a week ago, and the nightmares were still fresh; she thought she might've been allowed atleast some time before the universe decided to toss her into another one.
She should've really known better then to make that assumption.
Instead of a chance to mourn the loss of friends and allies, Sonya found herself fighting off more inhuman enemies at the behest of some power hungry god. Her power gauntlets were able to stun and disable several, but until she knew more about this place she had to reserve their energy. Instead, she nabbed several daggers from the fallen zombies, strapping them on her before going about her way.
There was no set destination in mind, but these things were everywhere and she couldn't allow herself to hide, when others might not be able to fight them off so easily. Of course, the chance at taking out her anger on killing Risen was difficult to pass over, more than her need to check with others who might need assistance as well.
The sound of movement behind her caught her attention and she immediately turned to face them, knives out in case she needed them.]
Tranquility
[Having traveled in many places as she had, Sonya had been to plenty of places were fresh fruit and vegetables were hard to come by. Hell, there were times when she had to live off of MREs for a week and would've killed for something fresh. Yet, what she was seeing and tasting from the shops was clearly going overboard.
She was eyeing the 'fruit stalls' when she saw someone come near her.] How long'd you think before people start raiding places to look for spices.
[She did study military history in school; people could riot over even the most basic or indulgent of needs.]

tranquility
She only glances at Sonya as she replies. ]
No one will go on any raids for anything. The most people here are capable of are bitching at the gods to adjust shit to their liking. [ There's a helpful amount of disdain in her voice. She's not a fan of people that just turn to the gods but she's also aware of just how much control they have over everything. ]
Re: tranquility
[She turned towards the woman.] How long have you been stuck here? [The way she spoke, Sonya had a feeling she'd become almost a veteran of this place.]
tranquility
Basically, since Fear opened the Door to restart the city. You got questions, I probably have the answer.
Re: tranquility
Alright. [Maybe she didn't know the woman, but at this rate she trusted her a lot more than the so-called 'gods' in this place.] So, why the hell are we even here? You mentioned 'Fear', are we basically just lab rats within this place?
[Sonya found she wouldn't have been surprised in the least if that was the case. Gods-baring a few exceptions of course-rarely saw humans as anything more than means to an end, if at all.]
no subject
Where are you thinking of raiding? Do you know of other cities nearby?
[As much as he wanted some meat to go along with all this produce, he wasn't about to raid the other people trapped there with them. Honestly, he was hoping this woman knew something he didn't.]
no subject
Seriously? I was more thinking of shops or homes. Food this bland is okay if you're starving, but sooner or later people are going to wonder who's hoarding spices.
[And in truth, she would consider joining in. The military diet was nothing to write home about, but even soldiers had limits.]
no subject
[He gives her a disapproving look for suggesting such a thing. He might ruthlessly steal from another city, people he didn't know, people he didn't have to work with to survive, but not people he now considered to be his new community.]
no subject
[This actually worried her more. The homes that weren't being used, all of them looked like people left in a hurry, or didn't leave all.]
no subject
It was obvious when she first says the word that he doesn't understand it, but she's acting like maybe she'd been joking, so he assumes it probably means something like that.]
I think so. These are the only places I know of. And some people have been here for a year or more, before the gods granted them simple things like food and water, I believe. So, the houses have been picked through.
no subject
She set her basket on her arm again] How long've you been here?
[She trusted those who had experience here more than the so called propaganda of this place. Certainly more so than gods.]
no subject
[He was still so new, he really didn't think he was the right person to try to explain their situation, but he'd try.]
The gods here are named after the emotion they 'feed' off of. At least, that is what I was told. I think it is the god, Hope, who gives us food and other things we need to survive. Probably so that we might feel hopeful?
[He rubbed the back of his neck at her next question.] Not very long at all. Only.... maybe a month?
