Curufin reads this, twiddles his thumbs and looks innocent. It was he who paid off the loremaster, though he hopes Fingon will never find out. XD

But he'll surely come and find his cousin during the upcoming miserable hand-losing episode. It'll make him weep, because he'll be thinking of Maedhros' lost hand as well as Fingon's two lost hands, and knowing that Fingon is likely thinking of Maedhros too. Joy all around!
