The trick will just be planning/jumping into a scene where Daryl feels as though he has to take on the responsibility of keeping Kelson safe, probably because it's a moment when no one else is doing it, and after it's happened once it'll all be downhill from there, boys...

Just what Kelson needs! I'm vaguely thinking of Kelson getting sick from the storm, which might not be the opportunity you're looking for but! It could work?

Hmm, that could be interesting if it means Daryl has to scavenge for something to help cure him/reduce symptoms? That's also pretty similar to something he does in canon, so I like it!

That could totally work! He would totally want something to knock him out. He's used to people just putting him to sleep when he doesnt feel good/gets too whiny lol.

Kelson's also got some poisoned wine in his room if Daryl ever wants to accidentally use some to try and 'help' him. XD. Have some wine Kelson, it will help. Why the fuck are you keeping the thing that killed your father in your bedroom, anyway?

Ahaha, I like the idea that Daryl would tell him to tough it out and find him something minor to help with discomfort, but depending how sick Kelson is he also has a pocket full of recreational hard drugs... :| Daryl that's not going to help. Too bad he gave away all the pain meds and antibiotics just before coming through the Door, whoops.

Oh yikes, and Daryl would totally take the liberty of sharing it. Just how poisonous are we talking? Haha I didn't realize I'd have the chance to kill Daryl off so soon.

hahahaa, he'd whine and bitch but probably would be wary of drugs he's not sure about. See, the lovely thing about Kelson is he's not quite human! So drugs that affect humans can sometimes have different effects on him. Like the poison in that wine! It's a sedative in humans, but is super fucking bad in Deryni. Daryl would have a nice nap. Kelson could have a seizure lol.

Oh that's a fun complication! I'll keep all that in mind if Daryl's solution for knocking Kelson out isn't hitting him with a brick. Hey, whatever works! Rub some dirt on it.

*snickers* hitting him with a brick works too. Kelson would be so snarky at that. 'did you seriously just the king of gwynedd in the head with a brick?' It could be beautiful.

Hahaha Daryl is a bit of a no-nonsense problem solver. He's also going to be endlessly amused with this kid thinking he has some sort of authority or position that should be differed to. Old titles didn't even matter anymore in his world unless you proved yourself, let alone on an alien planet. He's just going to be a whiney, innocent kid to Daryl that needs a grumpy babysitter.

pffft this is going to be something Kelson has not experienced before! Even here, since he's been hanging out mostly with the GoT kiddies. Everyone's all 'your majesty/your grace' and there's Daryl, hitting him with a brick, like the lovely no nonsense redneck, zombie hunter he is. :D

I love itttt! And that makes total sense, all the GoT characters being kneelers and all. I bet everyone but Dany was craving someone to bow to. Daryl's just going to roll his eyes a bunch and make Kelson finish all his vegetables.

He'll be pretty mortified if he poisons him by accident though. Mortified and then furious that Kelson left the wine around for that to happen. How was he supposed to know??

Believe it or not he STILL hasn't met Dany. He's met everyone else though. Kelson and Margaery got tired of calling each other by their titles XD.

Kelson totally needs to eat his vegetables. ^^ He needs someone like Daryl. Hell, he had someone like Daryl back home! Albeit a little more polished XD

He'll have quite a story to tell Daryl about that wine! Granted, his father figures back home would probably be furious too. 'you just left merasha sitting on the table? WTF Kelson.'

That's good, they might have a monarch-off.

Everyone is more polished than Daryl omg. Tar is more polished that Daryl guts-a-possum-on-the-porch Dixon.

He is going to give Daryl such a headache, the pampered little shit. He both resents people that grew up much more comfortably than him and wants to teach them about life so they don't get hurt now that their way of life is over, so this is going to be great.

hahahaha well he gets along well enough with Margaery, but who knows! They'll have to meet eventually!

They could be beautiful together. Kelson's still learning about life, and keeps getting hit with medieval sized road blocks along the way. Like during a civil war, he came across a convent that got desecrated and the nuns raped and killed. He read one of the nuns minds to find out who did it and then became so freaked out he's now afraid of sex. He could use Daryl. He keeps having to be brutal and execute people and then feels guilty and whines about it.

I can't wait for them.

I mean Daryl is also very afraid of physical affection and sex so he might not be the best for this but that does not mean I'm not totally down for awkward-as-hell conversations about it. Daryl thinks he's worth less than dog shit as a partner so he can't imagine anyone being attracted to him, but he'll still tease people in a slightly jealous way when they talk about romance or PDA in front of him.

He is, however, pretty good at executing people in his future canon. :| Even people he likes to put them out of their misery. He'll definitely be able to teach Kelson how to harden up.

HA. Margaery is already giving him a sans-clothes sex ed lesson, how much more awkward could his conversations with Daryl be ? I think Marg takes the cake on that one :D

Kelson's style of romance seems to include waving awkwardly and running away. They'll be great together.

As for hardening up, he definitely needs a good talking too about that. He waxes poetic about how guilty he feels about executing people who absolutely deserve it.

I MEAN Marg is the A+ choice for that, so well done indeed. No remedial classes needed.

God that is also Daryl but without the waving and with staring grumpily instead.

YUP Daryl will be all over that, especially the farther he gets in canon. He hasn't killed anyone at this point but he's still basically ready to the moment he thinks it's needed. He'll be lowkey impressed that Kelson already has at his age.

Lol she is perfect for that. We've been waiting for the right opportunity for this for months and the cuddle plot is perfect.

As for waving, Kelson only waves because it's expected of him and court ladies travel in packs XD. I expect the two of them will have a lot in common.

Daryl's a sweetheart. ^^ If he ever talks to Caedra, she went around telling people Kelson was a serial killer lol because of his body count. 17 I think directly? not counting the hundreds or thousands that might have died in wars. Poor boy's first kill was when he turned 14. Kelson's pretty sure that's not something to be impressed by though Daryl. He's got an entire speech about it.
