CHARACTERCharacter Name: Ignis Scientia

About Them: An intelligent, practical person who sometimes takes himself too seriously and occasionally has trouble reading the humour of other people. Ignis is young but a well-trained fighter, as well as a proficient chef. He is highly intelligent and knows it, has a dry/sarcastic sense of humour and a tendency to gloat when he's proven right, but is an all-around decent guy and someone who is good to have as a friend - unfailingly loyal and always willing to supply a fantastic meal.

He grew up mostly under the eye of the royal line of Lucis, placed by the crown prince's side as his retainer from the age of six and given a very high-quality education. While this didn't impact on his social skills quite as one might expect, he does tend to behave in a more 'proper' way than most until he's known a little better.

Notable CR: His dearest and closest friend Noctis and his girlfriend Kate are the top two as ever. Cecily and several members of the Guard that he doesn't know too well yet coming in after that. He's also been working a little more on getting better acquainted with the likes of Nick and Carlisle.

Current Plans: Ignis has been canon-updated since the last CR meme, and with that has come a whole host of problems that he isn't really speaking to anyone about at the moment. A long-term plan for him is to have the various things he learned in that update begin to bother him, making him a little more waspish and ill-tempered than he would usually be.

Otherwise, he's still working with the Guard. He's developed the tendency to go on patrols by himself, and has started to be overly meticulous in his record-keeping. Coping mechanisms, friends.

CR you're looking for: I would love for Ignis to get some friends who can help him to loosen up a little. He's 22 years old and very rarely gets a chance to act his age. I'd also love some sparring partners, people who appreciate good coffee, and people who can handle a good snark-off without getting offended. Also, puns. Bring me puns.

I mean it's really a toss-up between the two. One of his friends back home was kinda like Peter, but without the dad jokes. :V

About Them: Julie is twenty years old and something of a firecracker who hates being told what she can and can't do. She bucks against authority like it's an instinct and feels very strongly about a lot of things that she has very little experience in, as well as many things she's seen far too much of.

She does, however, come from a world where a zombie infection has pretty much destroyed organised/developed society, and barely remembers a time when it wasn't like that. While she projects an air of confidence, a little digging under it reveals a mess of hangups and a girl who really just wants to be herself without always feeling like she needs to match up to someone else's idea of what she ought to be.

As of her canon update her hair is cut up to her shoulders and she is missing the ring finger on her left hand.

Notable CR: Her closest CR is with Agent Washington, Pell and Tinya. She also has some fondness for Newt, as well as being acquainted with a few others around the city.

Current Plans: Julie is fresh off a canon update and, tbh, she's Really Mad. This is the second time Hadriel has pulled her back in and removed the guy she liked in short order, and she's just really, really tired of it. She doesn't have any plans, because most of her plans right now involve just sitting down and giving up entirely. I'm looking for something for her to get involved in, even if it's just to occupy her time and give her a bit of focus. She's something of a community leader in her canon at this point, and that's a thing I'd love to put to use.

CR you're looking for: Girl friends! Julie needs them. Also guy friends. Any friends. Julie canonly crosses generation gaps quite easily so age isn't an issue. 'Found family' is also a big goal for her. I'd like someone to involve her in something to pull her out of her current depression slump. Also... honestly? She needs someone to love her. Bring me a ship for this girl.

About Them: Poison didn't come into Hadriel straight from canon, but rather from the hellish horror of The Box where her ability to survive was tested almost every single day. She's a small girl, only 5'2", and wispy with long, dark hair and large violet eyes, but more than makes up for her stature with her strong personality. She is outspoken, blunt, honest and dislikes it intensely when people pretend to be something they're not (if you're a dick, that's fine, but don't try to act like you're anything else).

She enjoys writing and drawing, can cook and scavenge almost anything she needs, and learned several means of self-defence in her time in The Box. Poison is a bit of a loner and doesn't immediately tolerate others, but if you find a crack in her armour and slip through, you can find quite a different person underneath. Poison also has two cats - a small black cat, and a dark red octocat (think octopus, squishy, fluffy, looks vaguely like a cat with eight legs).

Notable CR: Poison has managed to, somehow, befriend Carlisle. At least to the point where he doesn't mind having her around too much. She is also aware of Glacius, Starscream and Knock Out from The Box, though none of them remember her. She set off on a good foot with Peter Parker, Alphys, Kate and Agent Washington, as well, and finds Ianchus confusing. Most of the people she knows have remained acquaintances by design.

Poison doesn't really 'hang out' with anyone, though, and by now her tendency to be alone has been going on long enough to be noticed.

Current Plans: She is mostly keeping to herself, and the general landscape of the game doesn't require her to do much more than that. Poison likes to spend time in the lab, learning what she can from the people there without making a mess, and she's often around in the gardens or out in the snow with her two cats. My ongoing, biggest plan for her is getting her to confront her PTSD from The Box in some significant way.

CR you're looking for: I'm looking for some friends for her. Poison's habit of holding people at arms length isn't really challenged in Hadriel because she can get along quite well without needing to rely on anyone, and the years she spent in Box have made it hard for her to let people get under her skin while her generally prickly nature pushes a lot of people away before they can make much headway with her.

A good 'in' with her is catching her drawing. Poison has a lot of practice and is now very good at it, and carries around a sketchbook with drawings of both Hadriel and Box residents inside.

CHARACTERCharacter Name: Mogget
Canon: The Old Kingdom

About Them: Mogget appears (most of the time) to be a white cat, wearing a red collar with a small silver bell attached to it. Mogget is, in fact, a powerful creature of Free Magic, several thousand years old and one of the first beings in his home world which gained conscious thought. They were called the Nine Bright Shiners, and at that time Mogget was known as Yrael. Seven of the Nine sought to create, one pushed back against it, and Yrael chose to flee. For this, he was hunted down and captured by the Seven, bound into the form of Mogget and bound to the service of a line of humans known as the Abhorsens - one person in each generation who would take up the bells and guard the boundaries between Life and Death.

Perhaps understandably, Mogget was never thrilled about this.

The bell on his collar is Ranna, the Sleepbringer, and makes all those who hear it feel slightly sleepy. It makes Mogget himself sleepy all the time, or so he'd have you believe - he can still move very quickly when he wishes. He is a bluntly-spoken creature with little patience for nonsense.

Notable CR: He hasn't made any friends, because Mogget doesn't make friends, but he has been making himself known to various people around Hadriel including Kate, Alphys, Angus, Lup, Taako, and several others. He can often be found just in your house (yes, yours), leaving fur everywhere and demanding to be fed.

Current Plans: Mogget is, by personality at this point in his canon, not interested at all in getting involved with anything that the mortals/otherwise are trying to do around Hadriel. He is interested in finding warm places to sleep, and not too much else. Though he does spend a fair amount of time lurking around in the labs, out of curiosity, and just randomly appearing in people's homes because he's a cat and therefore anywhere he goes immediately belongs to him.

He isn't going to be affected by the event but it will prompt a little more interest in him about Hadriel in general. Mogget doesn't really understand the peculiar balance of power here (it doesn't make any sense to him at all). And with the Dog and Sabriel now gone, he's right back on his bullshit trying to see if anyone will be able to take off his collar.

CR you're looking for: He is looking for people who are talented in magic. If anyone thinks their character can make Mogget give a damn, I'm here for it. Otherwise, if anyone is interested in insanely powerful but entirely bound magical beings..?

CHARACTERCharacter Name: Red Wine
Canon: Food Fantasy

About Them: Red Wine is a Food Soul from that confusing Food Fantasy game, and first impressions of him are that he's a vain, arrogant, haughty individual with next to no redeeming qualities. This is only partly true. He is vain, and proud, and tends towards framing his words in a way that leaves most things he says open to interpretation as an insult, but underneath all that he is surprisingly genuine and kind, willing to give any kind of help where it's needed. He's particularly kind to women (until such time as they show that they aren't deserving of it).

He is canonly incredibly handsome and looks a great deal like a vampire, with pale skin, red eyes and the classic pointed teeth as well as an aversion to sunlight and garlic, but he is not a vampire. His aversion to sunlight is because he dislikes being too warm, and he doesn't like anything that smells to strongly in general. He does have the ability to smell blood, and is able to evaluate a person's moral standing based on that scent. Basically, if you're a good person, you smell good. If you're a nasty, nasty murderer, you smell like a walking corpse. THERE IS A PERMISSIONS POST HERE FOR THIS PARTICULAR TALENT.

Notable CR: He currently has his canonmate Steak to fight and argue with to his hearts content, though they aren't really speaking at the moment. Red Wine is quite independent, and I'm still working on growing his CR.

Current Plans: Red Wine had some involvement in the capture of the first of the host creatures that prompted Hope's post about them, but since then hasn't been seen too much around the lab. Since the prisoner exchange he's been keeping his distance from most people in general, after the very unpleasant realisation that Hadriel could too easily manipulate him into becoming the monster he's always afraid he could turn into.

Eventually this will get teased out, but until then, he's just all hells of distracted.

CR you're looking for: The above does not make him easy to get new CR with at the moment! So for this guy I am basically looking for a few people to be patient enough to prod at him a bit. Whether it's asking him if he's a vampire or not, asking him why the hell he isn't cold or why he looks like he just walked out of a high-class Victorian party. Anything, really.
