Yes, I'm aware, but birds can be particularly dangerous. They've got those sharp beaks, and little talons that scratch and tear at your clothes, and may the goddess forgive you if you get anywhere close to a nest.

What kind of pies d'ya make?

I know it sounds terrible, but bloodworts make for excellent pies.

Sweeter than it sounds. Messy, though. There's a reason they call it bloodwort.

I only know how to make one, admittedly. But it serves its purpose.

Salt, shortening, flour, and water. Mix it together, flatten it out, line the bowl with it.

A magician does not seem like the sort of profession you would appreciate when you have actual magic on your hands. Is this the lie?

Well, he's also an accomplished alchemist. Pendlebrook Brimstone discovered not only the many uses of glassweed, but was also one of the few people allowed to freely visit the various tribes of the Forest Folk, which granted him access to many ingredients previously unheard of! He was a marvelous fellow.
