So if you don't know, River is one of the resident psychics! Unlike some, she can't quite turn it off, and out of concern for how others might respond she's kept it on the hush hush. No one likes to hear that strange girls can hear their thoughts and see their entire pasts! Anyway, River is thin but just on the edge of tall, with lots of long brown hair, a quiet hatred for shoes usually, and gangly limbs. She addresses herself in the third person at all times and tends to speak in an indirect, poetic manner.
Notable CR: Simon Tam is her brother and works at the clinic; she is often there bothering him.
Wanda is her heart sister and roommate.
Steve is her absolute crush and Bucky is a mirror of what's happened to her so she tends to gravitate towards one or both of them.
If she's not alone, she's probably in the periphery of one of these people.
Current Plans: When zombies happen River is going to do two things: a. freak out & b. try and kill the Reavers, which is what she'll think they are. She'll mostly freak out in and around the clinic (hopefully Simon won't have to sedate her or anything) and kill (or attempt to kill since she won't know about the headshot rule) zombies as people need rescuing/protection.
CR you're looking for: People to fight with her, people who need rescuing, strange and dangerous people in general.

I'd love to throw Maketh at River again sometime, perhaps during the zombie event, because her experiences with violent people with psychic powers has been--really awful, in the past, and that could be fun CR.

Also, would River like to hang out with a giant, cybernetically enhanced rottweiler? He likes belly rubs.

HECK YEAH River has been trying not to be too!obvious about it since yeah some people once tried to burn her at the stake, that was fun. also it's because you're an awesome monster, bringing all the other awesome monsters to the yard with your puns, Sans, obvs.

Need another psychic around who will mentally poke at her? Ushahin is crazy but friendly and he loves having other psychics around in the murdercave, 'cause he gets lonely being the only one hearing thoughts.

Yesssss! I forgot to mention he basically loves those who are crazy and broken and sort of collected them in a much less creepy manner than it sounds back in his own world. So River gets double points.

Although he'd still be solidly Simon for that first bit! He could....probably talk her down. Right? It would be horribly fraught and emotional and I am a masochist so uh. You wanna do the thing, or would it be too harmful to River?

NOT TO DOGPILE YOU OR ANYTHING, but I just wanted to let you know that Sorrow was actually pretty impressed by River and so far she's one of the few people in here that he's kind of lowkey interested in. That could be a good or bad thing!

Additionally, I'd love to get some CR with River and Ronan, if you were ever amenable! He's met Simon and is at the clinic fairly often- there's a lot of painful stuff under the surface there, but he's also more empathetic and reverent than he lets on, so it could be a fun CR match?

I'm definitely curious to see what Sorrow's attentions end up meaning for River (I am on board for good or bad). Also YES there will definitely be river at the clinic type shenanigans soon, and I'm fascinated by Ronan, so it's gotta happen

So what are the chances River might mistake Nick for a zombie? Because I totally need some CR from her, he's going to be less enticing than most people to zombies anyway, and he would totally try to rescue her from said zombies, only to find she is not really the one who needs rescuing.

actually low I think! whether or not she can read Nick, she can read the dead, and zombies are pretty much on the CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME RAAAAAAH end of psychic things so unless i'm told otherwise he'd ping as as opposed to >:E

Oooo, true. I generally have marked him as unreadable for other telepaths, given he's all mechanical, so unless she reads other robots in canon, I'd probably go with her getting nothing from him. I still want to get CR with her at some point, though! :>
