About Them: Chris is friendly, empathetic, and generally the most socially-aware nerd to exist. He's calm and logical and great in a crisis, which is good because his life lately has been nothing but one crisis after another; unfortunately, that's left him a bit short-tempered and oversensitive as well as stressed and jumpy.
Notable CR: HE KNOWS EVERYONE. But okay, primarily his cast (Emily, Hannah, Beth, Sam, Mike, and Matt) as well as a bunch of other friends including Carlisle, Maketh, Lilith, Cashmere, Shadow, Nick (though they're fighting right now oops) and surely a ton of other people I'm forgetting. He also doesn't get along with Mello.
Current Plans: Possibly getting stuck with Mello and Sharon during part of the zombie event, but otherwise generally trying to help out since he has Hope's blessing which will slow but not cure the zombie virus. Otherwise there's a lot of cast drama going on and Chris is already having a hard time, so that's a lot to deal with.
CR you're looking for: Negative CR is always fun since he usually doesn't get it, but on the other hand if you have a character that has a hard time making friends and needs positive CR Chris is pretty good at getting along with almost anyone. c:

They really do; maybe they'll have opportunity to run into each other during the event but if not we can always contrive something for after. c:

The problem with Near's damn cautious self is that he's . . . really damn cautious. :P He knows he's next to useless against zombies and will be staying inside as much as he's able. That being said, he could wind up being forced from place to place because who knew the undead were so persistent about breaking in to eat people? And end up getting separated from his usual posse -- which includes a dude that could get mistaken for a zombie at first glance and that guy Chris doesn't like -- as the hordes get more numerous.

But yes, failing that we can contrive something else. They could sort of go either way as to how they get along. Near isn't exactly a great person, but he's at least much less aggressive than Mello.

I think that'd be a good enough excuse! If he gets forced out of the house due to zombies he could easily run into Chris; they're having the same problem at UD House, and they would need supplies and such that would force trips out into the city anyway. As long as Chris has bullets (or molotovs, I guess) he can handle zombies enough to defend himself and Near until they can get back to their respective safe locations. c:

About Them: Selfish, manipulative, and generally self-serving, but then again also one of the friendliest demons you might meet. Ruby looks out for herself first and foremost and has only her own best interests at heart, but she often goes with the honey instead of vinegar philosophy and prefers making allies to enemies.
Notable CR: She's making some casual friends through teaching magic ~~which I dropped the ball on oops~~ but doesn't have any particularly notable CR other than her cast.
Current Plans: I need to do more with her, ugh. She'll probably be helping out during the zombie invasion, since they won't really bother her too much and it's a good opportunity to garner favor with people.
