About Them: Gansey is polite, friendly, studious and curious. Beneath his smile hides a lot of anxiety that he is very invested in not letting anyone see. He loves magic and history, and any conflation between the two. If there is a Paranormal Thing, he will want to know about it, and also he's probably researched it a few dozen times. If you talk to him for long enough, he'll start to tell you about ley lines, quests and Welsh Kings, I'm very sorry in advance for this. His accent is Virginian, and his looks are Classically Handsome - think tall, broad shouldered, straight-nosed, hazel eyes, and a smile that's perfect when it's fake and crooked when it's true. His clothes are typically preppy: brightly coloured polo shirts, chinos and boat shoes. Also, he can't grow a beard to save himself.
Notable CR: He's basically living in the pockets of Ronan Lynch, Adam Parrish, Noah Czerny and Blue Sargent. They are his best friends from home, and Blue Sargent is also sort of his girlfriend. It's Complicated.
Current Plans: So, you know how I mentioned that Gansey doesn't like for people to see his anxiety? That's all going to go to hell in the dream event. He will be plagued by Fear's nightmares. Please come and enjoy the horror movie that is his head! Likely to feature: insects, so many insects, gaping chasms that try to swallow him whole, extreme darkness, suffocation, and more fun like this. Basically there was a time in his life when Gansey used to wake up at night screaming, and this will be my interpretation of why. I can't wait!
CR you're looking for: Gansey typically seeks out positive CR. He's polite and friendly to a fault, although his foot has a habit of finding its way into his mouth at the worst possible times. Few things will make him actually try to offend anyone (although upsetting his friends is on that list), but he tends to manage it anyway. So, basically! Positive or negative CR, I'm here for it all. He will particularly get along with characters who are a little bit weird, and/or who are interested by magic, research or history. Violence is a big turn-off for him, and he'll peacemake between people where he can. He also has a tendency to involve himself where he's not needed, especially when he cares about someone involved, and he can be very controlling when he thinks he's trying to help you.

About Them: Damen is straightforward, honest and optimistic. He's a born and bred warrior who values ideals like honour, justice, a fair fight, and integrity. He has a black and white view of the world; if you're his friend he'll struggle to see any wrong in you, and if you're his enemy he'll fight you to the death. He is very stubborn and it's difficult to change his mind about anything once it's set. He expects 'good' people to value the same things as he does, and it's difficult for him to detect or understand guile. Physically, he's often described as a giant; he's very tall, packed with muscle, and strong enough to pull metal grates right out of walls. He dresses Greek style - this means his tunic and armour will cover his torso and hips but leave his arms and thighs bare. If he's ever bare-chested, though, he has a few notable scars: two stab wounds, one in his right shoulder and one in his lower stomach. Also his back is a mess of scars because he was flayed by a whip, so anyone who would recognise that is free to! He also has a gold cuff around his left wrist; it never comes off.
Notable CR: His boyfriend is Laurent of Vere. Also he's doing his best to adopt Miriam.
Current Plans: He was concussed during the assassin event so hasn't been all that visible since then. He'll be around in the intro log, though - I still have to tag him in! And he will be involved in the dream event, although I haven't totally decided what he'll see yet. Since I'm focusing on fear with Gansey I may do something different with Damen, but there may be some fear involved with his too. He may spend more time dreamwalking into other people's heads, that'd be interesting for him.
CR you're looking for: Other warriors! He really wants to set up some kind of coordinated patrol around the edges of the city, to keep the people in it more safe. Anyone who would be up for joining him in that would be loved! Also people who are not honourable/dutiful/honest and who don't think in straight lines like Damen. He finds these people hard to deal with, but is also fascinated by them. Also, I'm well up for Damen protecting weaker people - anyone who needs a guard will find one in him. Also, he is actually a King! Political talk is also welcome, since he's starting to work out the kind of king he wants to be, and it's still a work in progress.

HAKKAI IS SO SORRY! And he and his ~~boyfriend~~ best friend are living in the unit above Damen and his beau. ;>u>

OMFG I didn't know they were in the same building!! Can we do something with that?! They'd have to run into each other at some point, and Damen doesn't even know Hakkai's name yet. Can they run into each other?

Maybe Hakuryuu can be flying down the stairs excitedly and Hakkai is chasing after him and they run into each other like that because of the loud "Kyuuu! Kyuuuu!" noises that might get his attention.

Yeah that would work! Damen would definitely stop to see a baby dragon, absolutely.

I'd definitely love to do more with arya and damen! she definitely has some political opinions and I also think their morals might mix interestingly -- arya has a very strong sense of justice, but has done some really morally grey things in the name of it.

I really want this! AI was very glad you tagged Damen with her in fact, I would love it for them to know each other! Damen's values wouldn't be that out of step with Arya's family, he'd go in for all that Stark nobility. He'd also probably identify with Arya's rage, since he feels it for himself. Morally they probably would struggle, since he's very black and white and she's a grey area, but Damen is also used to dealing with people like that too!

Could they train together maybe? I would love that!

Absolutely! Arya has been training all by herself since she's gotten to Hadriel and she'd love a training partner. You only get so good when all your sword fights are one-sided.

Well then yes, that's perfect! Damen will like that a lot, especially if she hasn't had anyone live to practice against. He doesn't mind training alone, but he knows a partner is better!
