ARYA STARK
-Back when she was getting a lady's education, her favorite subject was math.
-As a really small kid, she was fascinated by swords and all that, but what really held her attention were positions of power: things like being a major knight or a High Septon. She wanted the freedom that those kinds of positions provided her. What she really wanted was to travel on her own accord, to be her own person and do whatever and as many things as she felt like. Swordplay happened to be one of those many things.
-She has really, really terrible handwriting.
-If she doesn't like you, Arya will go out of her way to piss you off, usually with snark or pranks. (If she really, really doesn't like you, you're on her kill list, but that's a whole separate issue.)
-Her revenge quest is less about revenge and more about finding some sense of control amid all the terrible things that basically happened to her at once. Again, it goes back to that idea of power -- she's trying really hard to maintain a grip on her own life, but she truly doesn't understand the terrible actions of those around her, and her kill list is a misguided attempt to make sense of all that and even properly grieve.
-Despite her threats, big talk and stabbing, she really, really hates killing people and has a pretty strong moral compass.
-Her favorite color is grayish-blue.
-Her two favorite people in the world were Jon, her brother, and Syrio, her fighting instructor. She wasn't super close to her parents, but most people in her station weren't, so she never really considered it unusual. She did hardcore resent the attention her sister got from them, though.
-She's now really embarrassed about that.
-If Arya were to play any instrument in a rock band, she'd play the drums. She has an overall excellent sense of rhythm.
-I've got a lot of headcannons about family stuff and psyche stuff, so if you're interested in those let me know and I can pull out some more for you!

Chris | Until Dawn
• He's from Los Angeles, California.
• He had just started his fourth semester of college before the events of Until Dawn and coming to Hadriel.
• He's an only child, and somewhat spoiled by his parents. He has a good relationship with them and was generally a good kid.
• He didn't believe in the supernatural at all before the events of UD.
• Chris tends to binge-watch television shows, especially on Discovery or the History Channel or the like. He may or may not have seen every episode of Pawn Stars.
• He's very clumsy, except when it comes to hand-eye coordination.
• He's 5'11" and has been ever since freshman year of high school, which helped avoid most potential bullying for being a complete nerd.
• He's never played any sports competitively or in school, though he did briefly try to learn to skateboard. It went about as well as could be expected.
• He tends to feel the cold a little more than other people, and so usually wears several layers.
• He never knows what to do with his hair and has tried several styles, most of which involve spiking his hair up. When it's down he feels that he looks like the only person to ever be rejected from a boy band for looking too douchey.
• Chris is a talented shot.
• He did a fair share of underage drinking when he was in his last year of high school and first year of college, but after being too drunk to help the night that two of his friends went missing he pretty much stopped entirely.
• He stammers, usually when he's unsure of what he's saying or caught off-guard. It doesn't seem to bother him at all around his friends, though he can be a little self-conscious about it with strangers especially if he's concerned about them taking him seriously.
• He's somewhere in between introverted and extroverted.
• Chris is very sensitive and empathetic, and isn't ashamed or embarrassed to show emotion or concern. He tries not to if he thinks it's going to worry someone, however.

Maketh Tua | Star Wars: Rebels
•Maketh is an only child. And despite all her posturing, she grew up as a poor farm kid on Lothal. She got shipped to an off-world Imperial academy when she was thirteen. Since cadets only get to contact their parents once a month for monitored calls and Maketh never had the credits to visit over the summer, she quickly lost touch with them. They died before her graduation. She has fond but vague memories of them, and didn’t mourn them so much as forgot they existed.
•Lothal is a really shitty planet to farm on and relied heavily on imported goods to survive. Unfortunately the supply lanes were often disrupted or cut off entirely during the Clone Wars, which meant that food shortages were common. The problem was not fixed immediately after the war ended and there was a huge black market for basic goods that the Empire silently encouraged in order to make the people as desperate as possible. Maketh remembers the food shortages and ensuring chaos very well, and considers the Empire a benevolent force that brought structure to an uncivilized place, rather than exasperating the problem and then swooping in when there was no one left to lead an organized resistance.
•She’s desperately thankful for her education, as it’s really the only thing that got her away from the same life that her parents suffered through. And since she went to the Academy on an Imperial scholarship, she’s especially indebted to the Empire itself. Something her instructors never let her forget.
•She copies the accent of her mentor/boss, Governor Pryce, to make people think she grew up on one of the inner planets.
•Huge control freak. No one is allowed to make her coffee or touch her uniform. She irons it herself.
•Probably one of the only people ever who had a genuinely positive experience at the Imperial Academy, where cadets are canonically encouraged to murder each other and make it look like an accident in order to prove their ruthlessness.
•Maketh lacks the pure ruthlessness required of military officers, hence the reason she was slated to a civilian tract instead of entering the Imperial Military.
•However if she were technically a member of the military, she’d probably be a lieutenant colonel.
•The line between civilian and military in the Empire is extremely blurry. To someone who doesn't understand the system, she definitely comes off as military. Mostly because her people skills are lacking.
•It’s sheer dumb luck that she survived the Academy at all, since she was not well liked by her classmates. Though Maketh isn’t consciously aware of this, several of her instructors were very fond of her and banded together to make sure that she survived a few of the more blatant traps that were set for her. Even so, a classmate did attempt to kill her in a live-fire drill her third year. To this day, Maketh has convinced herself it was an accident.
•Though she’s ordered people shot, she’s never actually killed anyone herself. However, she’s been conditioned not to think about it very hard and wouldn’t hesitate if the situation called for it. She’d get hit by it very hard later on, though.
•That being said, Maketh has been shot several times herself. As a minister, she’s not allowed to carry weapons or wear body armor. This is no way prevents people from taking pot-shots at her.
•Despite what people think, Maketh actually did have a life outside her job. She enjoyed going to local performances and hanging out playing holo-chess with some of the more educated citizens.
•She took the executions of the two soldiers under her command very hard and is starting to overcompensate by becoming extremely protective of people she’s only recently met.
•She identifies as gay, but hasn’t had a relationship in over ten years and really wouldn’t know how to go about one.

Does she hold any regrets? If so, how does she deal with them?
If she could have three things from her universe in Hadriel, what would they be?

— cullen usually keeps it on the down-low because of his job, but he's a bit of a fereldan patriot. being called "dog lord" in kirkwall was never really an insult to him, and yes, he is still bitter over the orlesian occupation of fereldan. he will never not be.
— he lied at the winter palace. he can actually dance. ballroom dancing is not his thing and he's terribly out of practice, though. what he is good at (though it would take some coaxing for him to ever admit it much less do it) is good ol' fereldan jigs and reels.
— mr. overachiever can use a stupid amount of weaponry. word of god says, iirc, this includes the bow, and he was the one to shoot the flare when the inquisition escaped from haven.
— he got the lip scar in kirkwall shortly after anders blew up the chantry and hawke & co skedaddled. it was a not-so-great templar recruit who gave it to him when they got fed up with cullen trying to make things not terrible in the gallows. he stitched it himself, which is why his lip is now lopsided.
— he's got a Thing for women who can hand him his ass if they really wanted to.
— he apparently smells like elderflower and oakmoss?? thanks, luka, for the info.

Henry "Hotspur" Percy | Bladestorm Nightmare
▪ He is near constantly in motion. If he's not pacing or moving about, he's gesticulating with his hands or head, or fidgeting in some minute way. Even when sleeping he tosses and turns.
▪ He is additionally fluent in French and Latin and is an avid reader, which is probably the only way to get him to sit still for more than ten minutes.
▪ Otherwise, extended stillness is a bad sign where he is concerned.
▪ His handwriting is beautiful, and given half a chance he would rather leave people letters than texts or phone calls, unless there is a need for rapid communication.
▪ He excels at anything physical due to a combination of natural athleticism, fantastic instincts, a lifetime of conditioning and single-minded dedication. He is quick to improve in this arena too.
▪ Social skills are his weakness, in good part due to his temper, and he has limited patience for situations that rely upon them. He tends to remove himself when he's had enough, without a care for how rude it comes across.
▪ Hilariously, despite being the most aggressive and wild of England's knights, he is also the haughtiest.
▪ His favourite kind of sparring is the kind where he comes out of it black and blue. He especially enjoys fighting an equal or superior opponent, since it presents a challenge to overcome while bettering his skill.
▪ He enjoys strategic games, and feels the same as above re: opponents.
▪ Surprisingly, he's actually a graceful loser.
▪ He's a terrible mother hen towards his
very fewfriends.▪ His tendency to be hypercritical towards himself and others has existed since his youth. How much is down to his personality and how much is due to having an overbearingly ambitious father is debatable.
I'm happy to ramble about his background/canon vs. history
how does half of it even work?! sob, and any other bits of canon and headcanon!no subject
What is he afraid of? Has this changed any since coming to Hadriel?
Any connections with this version of the character to Henry VI?
Also, how does the whole demon thing work in the Bladestorm canon? I haven't been able to find a lot of information on it.

Peter Rumancek | Hemlock Grove
-He was bullied pretty hardcore as a kid, from the terrible combo of being poor, a gypsy, and the perpetual new kid. at some point when he was still very young, he decided he didn't need anyone other than his family.
-Peter and his mom have never owned a computer and he never had any friends before the Godfreys, so he's pretty computer illiterate, although he somehow canonically has an ipod.
-He can play the guitar well, and can muddle through a few songs on piano, but he never took to the violin.
-Even though he hates sports of all types, he secretly loves dancing.
-When he was little, horror films gave him nightmares, but he's always loved them anyway.
-Peter can sleep any time, anywhere, in pretty much any sort of situation, because he's used to crashing wherever they could.
-He wears lots of layers of clothes both to look bigger than he is and because it makes him feel protected from the world. hanging around with someone he's very comfortable with, he wears less clothing.
-He's not materialistic and judges people a bit for being too dependent on stuff to define them or their status in the world.
-Even though he's a smoker and a drinker, he doesn't like to be drunk in public. In general he prefers a steady buzz to being drank. He won't touch anything more hardcore than pot because he likes being in control of himself.
-It is a true canon fact that peter's skin smells sweet like puppies.
-It is also a true canon fact that he hates/fears police and doesn't like guns.
-Part of the reason Peter avoids fighting is that he's naturally disinclined to it, and part of the reason is that he hates the way it feels to be violent. He vastly prefers to be passive or snippy than to act out.
-When bored, Peter doodles on any available piece of paper. He also doodles while he listens, because it helps him remember things. This is easily confused with him doodling when he's not listening, because they look identical.
-He's canonically bisexual.
-Peter has a thing for blonds.
-He's also canonically a crybaby, and totally okay with that.
